Got a pretty decent yard for a cheap place like that . I'd be sitting out there in the sun and barbecuing sometimes too, free fruit is definitely a plus

At first glance, most people would say, "wow, thats a bargain." On closer inspection, any westerner would quickly be able to point out the numerous "cons" One of your showings had a cockroach and you just smoothed over it like it was nothing. You get what you pay for... there are no bargains.

These Filipino apartments look all the same. Like maybe 50 years ago in Thailand. But with all the expats coming over the years the Thais raised the standards. So in other words, in Phuket or Pattaya this one you you could'nt even rent out for 3000 Peso. But who knows, things might change in Dumguete too.
@fil-amcouplethisisourstory40213 жыл бұрын

The beach is terrible if you want sand and swimming, there are no beaches in Duma that are the sand and swimming type. It is the beach for social activity though and market stalls

Ned, thank you for the video. You were one of the first KZbinrs we watched before we visited the Philippines. Much thanks for your advice! And yes I do find your videos helpful. Question, do you think your wife or wife's family would be interested in promoting short term, week to one month rentals. With the tourism returning it may be a good business. Or can you recommend a trust worthy site. I trust you. My wife would do it in Virginia Beach for family and friends who would be renting weekly at our beach, because pictures can be dated and not show the true condition. Let me know.

@darrylreynolds39122 жыл бұрын
I'm planning a trip there probably after new years, from all the videos you've posted it so far seems a little too laid back for me, but I want to check it out anyway, give it a chance. If I decide to stay, I would like to hook up with you and check out some house rentals - not into apartments, Bern there done that in the PI (Angeles). My first thought was to return to Angeles, but everyone I knew there has either passed on, or moved on, plus I'm pretty sure THAT easy an access to the girlie bars would be too.mich temptation, and I'd be dead in six months. I want to be somewhere were I can keep everything in moderation. Maybe I can by you and the wife lunch, or dinner when I get there as recompense for helping me out?

Like Tunisia, the place is made of cement - why do you need an extensive fire alarm? Those bananas are not the type that taste good and coconuts are easier to buy at the market. No refrigerator. Crappy curtains and furniture. Washer? Why do they need bars on the windows? Will Emelda Marcos try to break in and steal your shoes or black bra's? Just another 3rd world country - I'm surprised he's asking so much. Give me Costa Rica.
