Love all my revolvers. I wish I lived closer to Gunsite range. Shot and reloaded many many rounds of .357. Lately shooting .38 special and .38spl.+P because of arthritis in both hands. That also includes many rounds of .22LR and .22 Magnum. That was a great video Michael. Thankyou.

People say the revolver is antiquated. People say modern 9mm semi-auto is the most optimal way to go. People label .45acp as ".45aarp and such." These people don't understand history. 9mm is *older* than .45acp and if anything should be rightly labeled antiquated, 9mm deserves that. Revolvers aren't similar to semi-auto, they are very different from semi-auto in many key ways, so much so, they require different approach to handling. Revolver cartridges will easily and consistently hold the horsepower trophy when it comes to ammunition.

First time I’ve seen what Bolke looks like. I’ve heard him on a ton of podcasts though.

I used to live in Prescott and stopped out at Gunsite often. I worked at Ruger, just up the road from Gunsite, and built their magnificent semi-autos in the factory. The entire area is gorgeous!

I was talking to another retired LEO. He was one of the very last officers on his department to be issued and sent to the academy with a revolver. A year later he was issued a SIG 9mm to replace his S&W Model 19 .357 Magnum duty gun. He began to appreciate, despite the hazing at the academy of being one of the few still shooting a revolver, that it made him a better shot and better at shooting tactics, because he was always counting backwards from 6! He learned to be more disciplined and deliberate in his shooting. I carried a revolvers for the first half of my career, and continue to carry them now. Thanks for this video, I will forward it along.

I love revolvers and have handloaded and shot em for half a century. Can I ask... what exactly are you training for? to me.. from 1-200 yards you don't shoot what you can't hit and that means you either hip shoot or point shoot or use the sights and something to lean on or sit down... what am I missing?

People have changed over to revolvers because they don’t want to worry about all the stupid laws all these anti-American cites/states have in place. I learned on a revolver back in the early 80’s and ran them for quite some time. But as soon as it was legal to carry here in Texas I switched back to carrying a revolver 24-7 and haven’t looked back.
