11 Amps, 3 Amp Racks IN! Mids/Highs Tahoe Rebuild (vid 22)

im at the point where the third amp rack needed to be dealt with but that is part of the box......so i did some box explanation and also started setting up the 3rd amp rack. The box is coming out for more work of course but i had to put it in to see where the amps were going to be so i could trim the wires. So far its thumping HARD with JUST mids! Damn Steve I thought you were just about the SPL with all the other vids I've seen, hair tricks ect. Just watched the 30 vids on this build and damn, mad props man you got some awesome talent when it comes to this stuff. Even gave me a few ideas for the build I'm workin on now, that amp rack with the fans I was wonderin how was gonna do mine(installed in wheel well) but have a good idea now. Steve, I need to know as soon as possible - what's the best way to check polarity when wiring? I have a new system I'm wiring and I think the front tweeters coming off the crossovers are out of phase. Any ideas? Love your work man!

that sounds reasonable, but how much room is between the top of the box and the roof of the tahoe. if its not much he wouldnt really be able to fit those big 18s in after the box is in. im not going to take the time to look and see, im just stating a possibility. im still a little curious what a fully loaded 18 btl weighs

Hey Steve... Im wondering if you are doing anything to dampen the vibration the new amps mounted to the box are going to be experiencing or are you just putting them there because there is no place else to put them and if they fail then you will just deal with it then? Thanks for the great vids!

man i want that box... the one i got has 3 twelves side by side... just long enough to fit between the wheel wells... i made it myself... but its completly sealed... i wonder if i should port it? i like the way it hits now... 3 twelves at 1200 watts... not a bad system... i had to disconnect one of the speakers and lower the power on the amp because my son kept complaing that everything would vibrate when the bass hit... lol... hard to see traffic when its all one blurr... lol....

Hey Steve, I noticed the amp needle levels under the chair aren't really matching. The one on the driver side is peaking alittle more then the other. Is that just cause u tuned the levels differently or because they are for another set of speaker range. Also I saw that you are going to strap the amps per sub. The gain levels have to be exactly the same right otherwise the level per voice coil would be different and bad for the sub right?
