actually what i did will work great and there will more then likely be NO heat accumilation. Its going to work BETTER then i thought. Thanks for your input. I think you should go build yours and make a video telling us all about it.

because the amps have a special design to dissipate heat and taking them apart might mess with that. Again, no need, they will stay plenty cool like this..

i can still get to everything its just not that easy. The beauty of RF sub amps is that i wont ever have to touch any of the "slaves"....i set the master that is going to be easy to get to, and the slaves all do what the master does....SICK shit - RF all the way.

If you ever want to test airflow, use clear plexi on top like you did, then light yourself up a cigar and blow the smoke in. Take note on the air path! You can add walls and air guiding fins inside to tweak the flow to your liking.

remember that he said the last setup had NO cooling. so this is a lot of benefit over what he had previously. besides, simply moving ANY air over the amps is going to cool them.

They make single integrated circuits to detect fan failure for cooling devices. Since you wont see those fans again for a long time. Might be beneficial to implement something like that.

Great idea with the fans. Interesting you chose to flow the air from one chamber left to right rather than do one side intake, one side exhaust.

haha you should have put a small port on the bottom of the box and then you wouldn't need the fans. but great idea i bet it works terrific, iv'e seen your other videos of course it works terrific, straight DIY right there.

Steve, nice job. However, after i saw you had to run the wires over the top of the amps like that, I'm surprised you didn't recess the bottom of the amp rack. Or, slightly elevate the amps so the wires can run under them.
@meade916
@meade916 15 жыл бұрын
you are highly confused. You believed me when i said i was going to run my DECK directly to the subs. Thats confusion. They will be amplified, they will be crossed over. Just sit back and watch.
@meade916
@meade916 15 жыл бұрын
nahh not really.........those fans dont even need to be there technically. Holes woulda probably done just as good but i wanted a little extra push. There wasnt room for 3, i still have wires to run thru in certain areas.
