This Raza character is a petulant child. Clearly he knows nothing about Charlie Hebdo and its long history of lampooning just about every religion, politician or organisation. Thank goodness Douglas Murray is there to speak common sense with great skill and courage. Majid Nawaz has become superb as a voice of moderation and common sense about Islam. The Raza guy is deeply insecure and needs to be more respectful of others.

@Hugh Jarce... He is infuriating but he has one point. You can't nowadays even include black or Jewish people in comedy, Let alone mockery, and I'm talking benign harmless stuff. Not even related to their race or anything racial, I'm talking even completely unrelated. Even if what is being said is true, culturally it would still be seen as unacceptable, demonizing to the entire group.. So you can mock any white person or right-wing or centralist or for the most part religious with complete immunity, With gross generalizations, Even if it's slanderous and all you're doing is propagating lies, It's still culturally acceptable. Look at programs like 'the last leg' 'New world order' 'mash report' look at any British comedian ( all hacks ) So that's the one point he made that's true, We culturally decide what we allow to be mocked, which means free speech is an illusion. This is way before we get anywhere near offensive, like racism sexism etc. How many British comedians do you know that mock, anything left-wing or related to labor or Women or any protected group. Haha

@@roknroller6052 Islam is not bloody race, it's an idea. Racism in any form is wrong, but lampooning ideas, including religions, is entirely acceptable.

@Jimmy Neeps... They all originate from the many Islamic countries, where the entire culture, all the laws, everything is grounded in that belief system, Look up the definition of ethnicity. Then look up the definition of race. Both say culture! Race, Sharing the same culture, history, language, ancestry. It's our secular societies in the process of trying to undermine religion, separated the two. A Jewish man David Baddiel. pointed this out saying angrily, That he's not considered Jewish anymore, Just because he doesn't go to the church. He wanted to still be defined as Jewish but society wouldn't... But even discounting that. As I said try and criticize progressivism or liberalism or marxism on twitter, lol. You won't get very far. You'll permanently banned off Twitter, or even PayPal, Facebook, Instagram for just stating facts. That challenge leftist ideology, ideas! The amount of victims to cancel culture, antifa etc George Soros had a fake guillotine put outside his house, but even people defending science, You can't even believe in biology, otherwise your a biological essentialist. People have died in the riots because they disagreed, with an idea. Sound familiar haha. There's no room in our society for diversity of thought, Progressivism has already decided, Tradition is imperialist, Culture is oppressive, Religion is intolerant, etc.. That ideology only respects itself, It has become its own God... These Neo-liberals are fabricating their owns religious like doctrine, To the extreme that truth is offensive, being white is a oppressive, being a man is a crime, being straight is oppressive, being your birth gender is oppressive, being smart or slim is ablest an oppressive, being pro life is intolerable, saying a.l.l lives matter is actually a crime, did you know Rationality is now labeled Toxic masculinity Haha. Commonsense doesn't have a voice now because there's no mainstream platform that will tolerate "that divisive language" and the left will keep re-defining terminology in iterated game against you, To make sure you're never heard! They can physically assault you and it's justified by a corrupted system, That views a person that's defending his position as the aggressor. You're blind to the fact you're already in a secular like cult... that you cannot criticize! and is trying to Indoctrinate you. So, No not even close, even in our relatively free societies, the hypocrisy is blatant, and alarming...

Not really. I can't account for the odd dictator or two. I stand by my initial statement that footballers are not the right not role models. Many are only kids themselves, most are perpetual fuckers at best. Most League footballers have had it too good, even League 2 players, hence a really bad attitude much of the time. No mate, if you are lucky enough to have a Mother and Father, then they should be considered your role models first and foremost.
@convincinglies19 жыл бұрын
just because they SHOULDNT be role models doesnt mean they ARENT role models
@philb51889 жыл бұрын
No mate ...Its the Media that has tried to present them as Role models. Common sense says it is/was an impossible task. Why, because they are under pressure enough trying to do what they do "best" without adding more pressure to that. You see, for all their skills, they CHEAT each other. They Cheat the Refs, they react without respect and they often hurt each other with impunity, all in the name of gain. Forget fair play, we shan't even mention diving, spitting, and much more. The game itself is fine, but like many things in life is often tainted one way or another. You child wan't a Role model, then you as a father must be the best you can. If you are, then they will never ever see football players for anything other than what they really are, and it most definitely is not Role models in any normal persons book.

Maajid Nawaz for the win! Has convictions in his beliefs, the self security to not fear someone can hurt his god with words or ideas and the wisdom to see we need give others the same rights and privileges we want for ourselves. Defiantly an ideal representative for the UK Muslims I have met. TV, radio and print so often find someone representing the minority fringe opinion to discuss whatever topic it can give a false sense of what everyday people are like.

Simple: Islam is an iconoclastic religion, meaning they prohibit the creation of images of Allah or his prophet and consider any such as blasphemous. The issue is when you have people who lived in a society that believes that for centuries suddenly thrust into a near completely secular society that has no statutes against it or free speech.

Re Ched Evens, I don't condone his behavior or his mate, but then again, I don't condone the behavior of the woman concerned. This woman is hardly a good shining example of women in general. I do worry though that the evidence is tainted in so far as the woman walked perfectly well into the Hotel. The amount of Alcohol found in her bloos was around the same as 5 or 6 cans of Stella. For a woman who's clearly used to drinking. This amount would not put her to sleep as she claimed over that time frame.frame. Ched Evan's friend got off the charge, yet clearly can't understand why his mate Ched didn't. I do think the "EVIDENCE" therefore isn't good enough to convict. Also, it wouldn't be normal to apologise for something you didn't do. The motto of this story for any young man though, make sure very you get consent in writing before you have a Bonk with any woman.

They are not killing or hurting anyone or pushing their agendas on others....and they still believe in different systems and gods. They quite simply have matured enough to know that there is this life and its worth living. Im one of them. Most of these people on these programs have very little understanding....lots of knowledge but no understanding. Just get on with your own life. The angry Muslim is telling everyone he knows the story about the supposed anti semitic writer being fired from hebdon when he can’t even get the person the story was about’s name correct. He said Nicholas Sarkozy when it was Jean his son that the made up story said was converting to Judaism to marry a rich Jewish woman and that he’d go far doing the likes of that. The writer was asked to apologise since there was no truth to the story but refused. The writer had also said on a previous occasion he was anti semitic and that all Jews should live in fear. He’d had to apologise for this previously. Not exactly as cut and dried and hypocritical as made out by this angry Muslim.

While I agree with most of what Murray says, he’s the embodiment of narcissistic rage. Behind the glacial calm he’s simmering like a volcano. He looks like he’s about to blow his top everytime Nicky Campbell has the gall to ask someone else their opinion. Just a really odd bloke who obviously sees himself as a sort of young and hip version of Malcolm Muggeridge, as if that was what anyone needed. Whenever he’s forced out of monologue he quickly retreats into all-or-nothing statements and stage play repetition as well. The idea he’s some kind of public intellectual shows how much the ‘decline’ of our culture is really down to us. No one is forcing these shows to pay host to blobs from the Spectator (as opposed to people who teach middle eastern affairs for a living) but they do, because we’re not a serious culture.

God limits and restricts ‘free speech’ such as the defamation of the sacred held by oneself or others. Then no one has the right to violate such law. And do not insult those they invoke other than Allah, lest they insult Allah in enmity without knowledge. Thus We have made [to appear] pleasing to every community their deeds. Then to their Lord is their return, and He will inform them about what they used to do. (Quran 6:108) In reality there is no such thing as absolute free speech.
