I have 3 cats, all rescues. My 2nd cat was rescued in 2021 from an abuser and gave birth to 6 kittens the day after being rescued. They were fostered for 4 1/2 months and all kittens were adopted and I brought mama home. It took 2 years of patience, understanding and love to earn her trust. On the 2 year mark, one of her kittens was surrendered to the shelter and I immediately adapted her. All 3 cats get along perfectly. Mama cat has a love/hate attitude with me. She runs from me when I get close to her but if I have company she's all up on them for cuddles and attention. She'll lay beside me when I sleep and I can even hold her for maybe 5 minutes. Most of the time her tail is up and fluffy, I can play with her, but she really wants nothing to do with me. I always tell her my love is more stubborn than her stubbornness. I just have to live with her love/hate of me, she's a senior cat about 10 yrs old and set in her ways.

It’s the same with my cat. She sleeps on my side of the bed next to me. She doesn’t sleep next to hubby. I named her Shadow as she follows me everywhere. She’s a gray tabby that we adopted from the local animal shelter. Shadow was all alone in a big enclosure as she didn’t get along with other cats. She’d been there for almost 6 months. Shadow was found as a stray in a local Leisure World complex. Some kind woman caught her and took her to the no kill shelter. We didn’t want more than one so it was a great match for us. She’s now sleeping in the sun on our patio deck chirping at the hummingbirds that she can’t reach. I love her so much.

My cat who's never given me more than a love bite actually bit me after his brother passed away. I knew he was mad at me & blamed me for Storms passing. He's slowly getting over it. Me too. We miss Stormy. 💔 💔

Having learned a lot about cat behavior signals, I know that my senior Siamese-mix girl loves me! I respect her space when she wants a nook on her own, and understand that a rollover to show her belly doesn't mean that she welcomes petting there, as dogs do. She likes the security of sleeping near me wherever we are within our house, day and night. Mutual happiness!

I know Snickers loves me; he follows me f om room to room, comes when I call him, learns games I teach him and sleeps near, beside, wrapped around my head and every night goes to sleep on m when I settle in for the night. The only problem I have besides his love bites which hurt a bit so I wear long sleeves is when for no reason I understand his focus on me becomes intense, his pupils dilate and he bites, draws blood. And I often dwt lacerations of skin flap injuries that I have to steri strip together. These mostly happen on my forearms and hands. He has bitten me on my face near the hairline or grabbed and pulled a mouth full of hair. I get safe be covering up under a fleece throw, being still and ignoring him He seems very intense at these times.😊

I have 7 kittens/cats ALL rescues. ALL spayed/neutered. NONE have had kittens. My cats all groom in front of me ♡ & they groom eachother. . Its too cute. My cats roll on their back, bellies out, a few of them at least. Never claws out. My cats have an entire walk in closet thats dedicated to them and is large enough to fit a twin size bed. Its solely for their safe spaces, nap time. Whenever they want to be alone.

I have heard the exact opposite about showing their stomach. I’ve heard it’s the most vulnerable position for them and they only do this when they really trust you. Our cat will do this when we come home after I pet her and give her a few treats.

Thanks for this awesome upload 😊😊😊 I really get a lot of value out of your videos so thank you 🙏 very much indeed ❤ iv had Cats 🐈 all My life & have studied them on courses so to anyone who figured out that their cat 🐱 feels uncomfortable in your presence, please don’t panick straight away, if you love your cats 🐈‍⬛ 🐈🐱then I advise take time & give patience with them to try to fix what’s wrong… once you fix each thing which can take up to a year or more as you have to give time for your kitty to adjust to each little thing & settle down afterwards . If you still don’t see any improvement, I know it’s easy to say but maybe don’t take it to personal, cats are extremely intelligent creatures & it’s probably just that you don’t get on (provided there’s nothing not nice going on somewhere) so maybe take them to a shelter to be re homed, give your self some time to relax yourself then consider your future options. Hope this helps someone in some way! Sorry for the Essay 😂😂❤❤❤

Thank you. I adopted two rescue cats about 9 months ago. Watching this assures me of their love. The youngest one is more standoffish but getting better and better at letting me pet him. Both are always following me from room to room. They want to be near me even if they don't want to be held. The youngest one does have a habit of licking his lips but just lips, never nose. Kinda cute. Hopefully that doesn't mean anything negative. Regardless, they are mine and I adore them.........
