My favorite thing about bicycle commuting? Children will often say hi to me when I'm pedaling. That NEVER happens when I'm driving my vehicle!

Great video haven’t cycled into Budapest in. 35 years looks like some infrastructure is better for bikes ,we felt suicidal coming into it from the west in the 80 ies , I bike commuted in Szeged for 3 years , the thing is if you grew up in a bike you never give up on it and al the things you say in your bike videos are true and more , people greet you snd you are relaxed and healthy !

It works for me too although I work from home, I go out on a set commute to go back to where I started but (I go straight to my office in the spare bedroom) it gives me a clear break between work and home life although they are in the same building. I do something similar at the end of the day. My colleagues think I'm crazy but it works for me.

Oh, the joys of working from home. I have had lots of home office days too and going to the office makes me excited.

Great video and overall content in your channel! :-) I’ve decided to start commuting two months ago in my native city of Oporto. It’s an hilly city with quite narrow streets, but I’ve managed to cheat it with an electric bike. The real big problem is the cycling infrastructure that’s wether non existent or quite bad, miscalculated and dangerous. In Oporto there isn’t a real/recognized bike commuting community yet, I’d say there are a few people that are seen and treated like crazy out of the box thinkers, that dare to challenge the status quo of the automobiles and their drivers. Somehow, your content and experiences are an inspiration for those who seek the freedom of getting rid of the car and the traffic jam’s, and a living proof that cycling is, every day more, the way to go to work. Thank you!

Hi and thanks for your videos. can you please either through a video or in comments provide tips and tricks on how best proceed to deal with sweat , heat, rain , cold, snow etc and arrive to work after a 10 miles commute each way, all year long , day in and day out, in a presentable way for those of us who don't have access to a shower at work? thanks!

Uh, that’s a lot to pack into one video, but I’m planning on making other videos tackling each of these issues. I recently made one on sweating. In the meantime take a look at Tom’s channel, Shifter, in case you’re not familiar with it. He’s made a lot of excellent videos on these topics. Thanks for coming by and making this suggestion.
