@@yhgera146 in simple words you can never sell anythin to anyone when you're the only one talking. He or she might have a question or a an objection and because you're talking nonstop they'll get upset about the fact that they couldn't receive an answer to their question, and eventually, you'll lose the sale...

1. What you've been told before is most likely wrong 2. Be the complete opposite of what you think a salesperson is 3. Talk is cheap - They care about you solving their problems 4. Have a system - Systematic approach to selling 5. Do your homework - Show that you understand what you're selling, your company and your customers 6. Ask questions - Listen more than you speak 7. Don't be afraid to lose sales - Living in fear makes you weaker 8. Be a peer, not a servant - Get on the same level, it makes the customer more comfortable 9. Stop persuading - They need a professional to determent if it's a fit or not 10. Always be learning - Never stop developing and learn new ideas 11. Never get comfortable. Ever. - When you get comfortable you stop doing what made you successful, and you start to get worse

Definitely agree! The second you come off sales-y is the second you lose your prospect. Too many sales people tend to jump for saving money instead of focusing on the value add for the prospect.

You are so right about the fear of losing a sale. I mean, if I feel like it's going south, I kind of hound the customer even more. But if it's a really good objection, I just tell them that they should reach out to me if they ever want my assistance I'm here to help support them. But lately I've kind of been getting hyped on the idea of getting rid of prospects that are not going to buy, and focusing on the ones that are. So really, losing a sale is kind of cool. I mean yeah my boss hates it and everybody hates it of course but to me that just means they are not a good fit and so now I know and I'm on to the next one. If they are really not a good fit, then that's it. If they are a good fit, well they have my information, they need what I have, maybe they'll wise up and come to me when they need it. The big thing is, now I've been doing this for a few months, I'm understanding that my time is valuable. I'd rather have someone tell me no and not waste my time. I'm on to the next one. Sorry you are wasting my time bye.

Yup, I come off like I don’t care if they buy a piece of furniture from me…when those people come in who threaten to go to competition because I won’t sell at a certain price I just tell them “okay, thank you so much for coming in today” and it always gets them “what? You just don’t care if I don’t buy from you?” “Sir I can’t control who you buy from, I’m glad I could help you out today” they usually turn around and buy from me at that point 😂

I'm more of a customer than any sort of sales person, and I agree with all of this; we want our own needs to be the focus, and to work with someone who is naturally friendly and curious about us, while at the same time very knowledgeable about their product and how it can help.
@mayharmon6948 Жыл бұрын
p.s. We also want someone who is honest and professional enough to admit when their product is not able to help us or is poorly matched to our needs.

A systematic approach to selling can be the umbrella category for all of this great advice. Making these suggestions is essentially the sales system. This is a gem. Keep going and do not get complacent.
@frankwall78034 жыл бұрын
You're probably rich and one of the best salespeople walking this earth. The reason I say that is that at the beginning of your videos you promise value, and you deliver that value by the time the video is over. Unlike those other dirtbags that promise value and then make you click a link and pay them money before they give you the value. Then when you go through their sales process you end up disappointed with the so-called "value" mainly because they suck.

Thanks for the awesome approach to getting started in sales. Yes, go opposite of what is told "out there." Take advice from those individuals who have succeeded themeselves. Yes, talk is cheap! Quiet confidence is much more powerful than the gift of gab.

You're forgetting one thing. Believe in the product your selling. If you dont understand your product or believe that it will bring value to your potential customer then they will not purchase and you will feel like a shitty person at the end of the day specially if it's a scam. Dont be that person selling a product that you know does not help people for shit.. Also confidence is key as well.

Sales people! 1. Find the people with the demand for your product/service. If you want to sell used furniture you want to go where there are growing populations of young people. 2. Get to know your target demographic. Once you know who wants you stuff, FIND ONE OF THEM TO WORK FOR YOU. This is essential in connecting to your target audience (see retail stores who hire young women to sell clothing.) 3. If you're doing the sales yourself, make friends with your target audience. Understand their furniture issues and create possibilities for them to purchase, like payment plans and shipping help. 4. Like the man says, don't be a salesman, be a bro to your clients, look for how they can improve their situation with YOUR help. When I worked for a well known retail clothing store as a sales associate working on 10% commission and working in the men's business department I would regularly be dismissed as though I'm not preforming well by my superiors. With comments to my 600$ sales (like 4 guys all heavy weight dudes come in on separate occasions and only came to me to cash out and they only come about twice a year) and my above and beyond customer service performance boiling down to "well you must be doing something right" with a heavy tone of sarcasm in their voice tells me if I keep this up I will threaten their job security. This is the best thing to see as a salesperson, a jealous supervisor and angry coworkers. I only stayed there for a couple of months cause of that crap, however it let me know that my sales skills I learned from more than questionable people (drug dealers, con-men) work really well in the legal world when used ethically. These were things that originally were taught in an unethical way, for example. To walk into someone's house with whom you're talking to while going door to door doing bullcrap sales to get them to sit and talk with you on a personal level, tell them your boss has you doing this redonkulous thing to improve sales and it's hot as hell. Ask if you could use their bathroom. As a 22 yo guy at the time I remember this girl about the same age as me LET ME INSIDE HER HOUSE after that bit and telling me the owners weren't at home And that's my face guys, not super attractive.

You already know how you want / how you feel. Let's say you hold a coin. Heads is the PA for CEO and tails is Sales. Flip the coin and see what it lands on. Then you'll know, because in a way, you already do - just have to unlock that information :) Good luck
