As of August 2020, he is the highest-rated blitz player in the world with a 2900 FIDE blitz rating and the fourth-highest rated rapid player with a 2836 rating. This kid is at best 2200 elo, with +700 elo, Hikaru as +98% chance of winning.

Hikaru is one of the best defenders of all time. Has insane calculation ability. Can play any offbeat opening and still crush strong players. Incredible to watch.

Damn, Hikaru is becoming god-like. He's so far ahead for every position even against very solid opponents and with a 1:5 handicap in time, he's still unruffled by any move presented; his rebuttals are instantaneous. And then he discusses with them how they could improve or where they made a mistake! (Which is why I like him, his head is not up his ass. He doesn't mind playing street chess with the unranked or the highly ranked.) He's a treasure to the game.

@4:54 wouldn't taking the pawn on G5 with the bishop, even if you had to sac it to Hikaru's bishop open up the H file for a check and allow you to push with your pawns on the other end, eventually trapping Hikaru's king with your knight... just a thought.

What I see is that Hikaru has crafted his game so that he dictates what the opponent can do from early on in the opening. So it is as if Hikaru is scripting the outcome after his opponent's first and second move

He is the owner of the channel and he is the organizer;he played a lot of games at the start of the channel;he was at that time imo around 1600 uscf and he only had a max of 2 years of experience then Not a bad player at all but far from Carlini who is 2000 uscf at standard.

Black's top priority is to unpin the bishop, otherwise Bg5 leads to two attackers on the black bishop and only the king defending. In other words, Mohamed is right.

As a Chess Player I am Happy to see chess presented and promoted in any Format However it must be extremely annoying to have to endure Chatter and chess commentary from Spectators while street chess does allow banter between opponents, those other guys should seriously be quiet if they are going to comment on a game while it's being played in real time. Sheesh!!!!

@@roydondsa c7 is stronger imho, you get the rook, white has only pawns left, , you block of the c file with the rook and push the pawn b pawn. I dont know what khaled refers to, put the king will never be able to access the b file again, you just move the rook to e.g. c1. So c7, bxc7, rxc7, kd1?, rc1 with ideas of b5, b6...

Image playing the same video game your entire life, you'll know any movement, patterns, threats and ideas in and out - because you've been in said spots countless times and experienced them before.

No offense but the analysis at the end is laughable. After Bd8, white can simply play c7 and black has to give up the bishop, no need to go into a king and pawn endgame when you can play up a rook.
