Lloyd, Campbell, Papley, Jordon, Florent, Blakey, Grundy, Logan, Amartey all made crucial plays when it mattered. All teams rely on their star players when things are going wrong. Cannot tell me Geelong don’t rely on Cameron/Danger, and Hawks don’t rely on Sicily/Newcombe to get shit done when the game isn’t on their terms

Statistics are a reliable science, but they cannot factor player discontent with an inept coach. When the best players are moved out of their positions and replaced by sub-standard ones--or parked on the bench--even the a star-studded team will suffer an "upset." From the first bounce, the WB appeared demoralized. Even my American wife noticed that the dogs played without motivation. The WB need a coach, not someone who wants to mother them.

Well, they didn’t implode, their pressure was absolutely off the charts. The Swans best (and it’s often only a quarter and a half) would have done that to just about any side. If Sydney gives Hawthorn a start like that they won’t run the Hawks down (who are very strong in the second half).
