I'm buying some of these inks today, sadly I don't have a hair dryer. Ill use a straw and find an appropriate video. Great work. I've got watercolour paper and canvas pads. I hope they work as I don't want to pay for Yuko paper as it seems expensive. Anyway, I like your work, and thanks for the video.
@VivoVintageDesigns3 жыл бұрын
Hi there. I dont recommend using a straw at all. The moisture from your breath will not work well with the inks, but most importantly, it's not good for you. If yupo is not in you budget, try working on white tile. Very inexpensive and reusable. Also, you can purchase the ranger hand blower bulb to move the inks. They are inexpensive also and work great. Good luck and thank you for watching😊.

@@VivoVintageDesigns Thanks for replying. I bought some, and wow, did I get stung for the isopropyl alcohol. It was 20 times cheaper to buy it from the chemist. It's not as easy as you make it look. I appreciate the work even more now that I've tried it myself. I used a china plate for practice. And I need quite a lot more practice. It's not something I'll pursue. It's for my niece as we do drawing and painting most weekends. Soft pastels this week. Anyway, thanks again. Art is a wonderful thing.

I have a question...are you using the shiny side of the paper? And, do you use the shiny side all the time? Thanks....
@VivoVintageDesigns3 жыл бұрын
I only use the back side of the Kirkland photo paper. The front absorbs the ink and does not allow it to flow.
@carolinegreer4437 Жыл бұрын
Hi Jeannette, for this particular painting, how do you seal it! I had watched your video on sealing onto a board. Is it the same technique? Thank you soooo much for sharing your videos with us. God bless🙏🤗
@VivoVintageDesigns Жыл бұрын
Yes, same procedure. About 3 light coats of the varnish , waiting an hour or more btwn coats and the 2 of uv protection, waiting about an hour btwn coats.

Good video. Didn’t see the Ranger stamper listed in the products. Also, what’s the surface under your art work?
@VivoVintageDesigns Жыл бұрын
Thank you. Here is the link to the blending tool - amzn.to/3XrIveb - I use removable.contact paper on my work surface to protect it - amzn.to/3NNs6h1 - it's easy to apply and removes without sticky residue.

Could I mimic that circular motion with an airbrush That you are using with your stick hair dryer?
@VivoVintageDesigns10 ай бұрын
I have tried, but failed. You may have better luck. Perhaps lowering the psi would be helpful.

@VivoVintageDesigns I don't think I have that option do I? For me it's a new machine and i'm not familiar with all its little tricks. I will have to read up on that. So a gentle breeze would be better than a monsoon

My ink comes out in big drops when used directly from the bottle. Any suggestions
@VivoVintageDesigns3 жыл бұрын
Hi Carol. Don't squeeze the bottle and dont hold it in a straight vertical angle. Notice that I am applying one small drop by holding the bottle at a horizontal angle. I just let 1 drop flow out and that seems to work for me. Give it a try and let me know it it works for you as well.

Why won’t my photo part work like yours? It won’t “wash”
@VivoVintageDesigns3 жыл бұрын
Hi jan. I'm not sure what you mean by "wash". I'm using Kirkland photo paper on the matte side. If you explain what you mean by "wash", maybe I'll be able to help you. Let me know.
@janoakland89573 жыл бұрын
The ink won’t blow much at all. It leaves a solid spot but I wasn’t using the flat side either. The ink seemed to adhere immediately even when I put more alcohol on it. I now know i should use the flat side so I’ll try it again. Thank you so much for you help!! I love you videos !
@VivoVintageDesigns3 жыл бұрын
@@janoakland8957 sounds like you're using the wrong side of the paper. Try the back side of the paper, not the glossy side.
