Welcome to the Chicago Yacht Club where the 112th Race to Mackinac began yesterday and the day before for both the racing and the cruising sections. Meet the commodore, the title sponsor, check out the scene at the Navy Pier for the grand send off and the starts of almost 240 boats and over 2,000 sailors as they say goodbye to the sight of shore for at least 24 hours.

Great video however why is it being quoted as the longest freshwater race? It’s not, the Trans-superior is longer… just saying guys… :/

Longest annual. Trans superior is every 2 years... but yes, the 350 statute miles is longer than the Chicago-Mac 333 statute miles.
