How many games did he change the momentum of? How many times did he flip-the-field on an opponent? His value as a Special Teams Ace cannot be overstated. He was a Sharpshooter. He was a Sidewinder. He was a Heat-seeker who brought his own heat. He was a Heartbreaker and a Playmaker dishing-out defeat. We all know where he belongs--Canton, OH. Tasker may not admit it, but he knows too; he's a Hall Of Fame Baller through-and-through. Regardless of the League or the Player's Association or WHOMEVER, Tasker #89, holds a special place in a multitude of hearts that bleed Red, White and Blue. We watched every Sunday from home or in the stands, and we did bear witness to a Special Sort of Greatness--one who looked like a Choir Boy carved out of Granite. #BillsMafia

Idk man, Steve's final play was legendary and it's epic seeing it at the end of this highlight reel, just when you think there's nothing left he hasn't done after playing running back and wide receiver with all the touchdowns and blocked punts and forced fumbles and tackles for losses on returners and punt returns of his own and the on-sides kick recoveries (2 in a row in one game) and that back flip in celebration he still has the energy and drive and motivation in his retirement game to go so hard at that ref who botched the call on his final play getting himself ejected, the man had an epic and legendary fucking career and as bad as that call was (and what a shame it was that it led to him getting ejected) it was a totally gnarly way for him to go out with the same energy he came into the league with, Steve Tasker is the greatest to ever play the game #BillsMafia #BillsMafia #BillsMafia

The one down vote came from Deon Sanders still pissed about how many times Tasker tackled him for a loss, either that or the ref from Steve's final play still salty about him making him look bad 😅

Houston made a HUGE mistake waiving a player of Steve's caliber. From day one Steve contributed to the Bills and years after his playing career is over, he is one of the most beloved guys we ever had !! And don't think I'm blowing smoke, I've known Steve almost 30 years !

Just watched the whole thing, dude went harder and accomplished more things than anyone who's ever played the game right down to his final play in the league, people call him the greatest special teams player to ever play the game but he wasn't just special teams, he was so much more than that and the diversity of his plays makes his highlight reel way more exciting to watch than anyone else's, dude played running back and wide receiver (best route runner on the team according to Kelly and Reich) and he did that on TOP of playing EVERY position on special teams, dude was returning punts and blocking punts and focring fumbles and making tackles for losses on kick coverage and successfully recovering on-sides kicks on the hands team (two kickoffs in a row in one game) and he was doing all of it well and with more effort on every play than most guys in the league, it's a crime against football and the spirit of the game that Steve Tasker isn't in the Hall of Fame #BillsMafia

Many people feel the same way about Roger Craig who was a key component of those 49ers teams that won 3 SB's. Roger was recognized as the prototype for those like Marshall Faulk and Thurman Thomas. So many great players get overlooked that is shameful.

It is mind blowing how many punt-blocks the Bills special teams used to get. Here in 2021, I don't think I've seen them do it once in over 2 years. But to be fair, NFL coaches are super wary of getting roughing the kicker penalties, what with the modern day kicker-friendly rule changes.
