What a privilege to be comment #5000! I have watched your series since you moved in , sleeping in a tent inside that cabin. I'm just shocked how much was accomplished since then. I remember how you first cooked meals in there when there were still bugs crawling through the walls (and biting you!) and leaves in the corners. I'm just speechless. It is hard not to watch and think about my own accomplishments from the past few years since your project started. I’m doing the happy dance for you.All these endless hours ,cold and stormy nights in the tent gone forever😅 I grew up in Germany in a little town next to the Rhein river.My brothers and I went in the woods by the river to pick Lily of the valley by the bunches for our mom and grandma for Mother’s Day. Those little white super good smelling flowers are native to our area and it looks like they are a native to your area in the Alps. I love Them so much that I planted them all over my yard here in Oregon. However I have learned years ago that those little good smelling beautiful flowers are poisonous to children and animals and when I saw them outside your chicken coop and you picked some for your chickens I wanted to call you and let you know. Chickens can take a while to recover from traumatic events such as assaults on their domain. The new arrivals and renewed threats worry them and they may stop laying eggs for a while. You are spending more time with them and that is reassuring for them. The ‘newbies’ will assimilate and the ‘cock of the walk’ may try to take a leadership role. The white survivor will be the dominant hen in the new ‘family’ arrangement. She knows the score and has seen all the progress you have made. She survived attack and the bad storm. It's strange how satisfied I feel for having watched every minute of every single episode, yet it is nothing compared to the satisfaction you must feel for having actually put in all the hard work and see it all come together in your stunning little home. To be able to share a meal with those who have helped you along the way must be so fulfilling. The finishing touches that tie it all together, like the andirons, artwork, light fixtures, etc. have a very distinctive style that is all your own, but is in keeping with the structure and its surroundings. For me the three of you sitting together in your beautiful house, on the sofa, with the beautiful meal and then seeing what we all watched three years ago, the stark and raw beginning of your vision, so very emotional for me. Such gratitude for you sharing so much with us all, for your generosity of spirit, for your art and genius.
