Finally someone getting inflation right - printing is not inflation. BTW this is the central thesis of MMT. They have been screaming this for years. Printing can be used to fight inflation (strengthen supply chains for instance) or help the poor via stimulus. This is good for the poor and bad for the asset class which is why the asset class has confused everyone about it. “Printer go brrrr” right? That meme, that’s the asset class getting the poor to fight against printing and BTC extension their own best interests as usual.
@unaffiliated51332 жыл бұрын
@@paul.1337 Not how it works. Inflation has been caused by supply side, it’s only demand side when there is a scarcity of productive capacity which we do not have. The price of food and rent doesn’t go up because of “money printing” or government policy - it goes up when corporations see the opportunity provided by the “printer go brr” narrative. Think about prescriptions like insulin. ALWAYS through the roof because regulators refuse to act and corporations know people have to buy it, so they jack up the prices. Insulin isn’t expensive because of “money printing” and neither is food or rent.
