Even worse, inverse? They'd use lethal force but the fact that the guy was handcuffed and defenseless makes this show how easy people in their positions commonly abuse power that even having a bodycam didn't deter him from doing what he's probably done to others prior to them being impleneted, police unions need to be defunded and railed against in City Hall meetings, they're the ones who fund and constantly push the "few bad apples" narrative when the whole career is just favoritism circle jerk power tripping by people that required a HS diploma minimum to end lives and careers.

...yes, you're probably right. Not explained is WHY did this continue as an investigation? There was a SIX page report, which SHOULD have satisfied the paperwork requirement ....but for some reason, further investigating took place. WHY? Did this police officer have some kind of a "known reputation" ....or did the criminal involved in this one instance, insist on investigating what actually happened? Further to this, how did the police department, or the police officials, explain how the TWELVE-PAGE REPORT CHANGE TO A SIX-PAGE REPORT? This change does not happen by itself. SOMEONE needs to do this. Are there other officers in this police department who are just as dirty as this guy? If CORRUPTION in a police department exists, the entire system needs to be thoroughly investigated. Considering the police department could be dirty, it might be easier to FIRE THE LOT OF THEM AND START FROM SCRATCH. . .

Government documents were forged, falsified reports were filed, man has been subjected to having his freedom and his constitutional rights violated. How do you think this happened? They can pass all the laws they want. The 11th US Circuit Court of Appeals covering Georgia has ruled it is a First Amendment right for citizens to record public officials. Without the US Supreme Court intervening, which the court stated last year it won’t take up this case, any laws passed in that District would be deemed unconstitutional. In most Districts, there are rulings for protected 1st Amendment in regards to recording public officials.

Refreshing to see the media actually uncovering important information instead of regurgitating a narrative. Hats off to investigative journalism... and that officer should face a far more harsh sentence than what he got. At least put him handcuffed in a room with the victim who is armed with a taser and sturdy gloves.

This is bigger then just the one cop. You really think a lowly beat cop had the ability to make the video unavailable. To type up a fake incident report and release it to the media via a FOIA request. Look up Lehto's law. There was a story on Waupaca Wisconsin about the sheriffs department altering incident reports that were used in court. They were being altered after the fact by people who weren't even witness to the incident.

Here's the deal (love when cops say that it's usually followed by a violation of rights). The fact he did this was testament to the fact he felt he could do this without consequence. The 3 year cover-up nearly proved this. This wasn't just him. There needs to be a thorough investigation (what a joke) into the department itself. He couldn't have pulled this off by himself. That video was edited by someone other than that officer and whoever did it was given authorization to do so.

@@charliesargent6225 no matter what the guy is or has done, he was in handcuffs and already inside the patrol car, like i say, no matter what he was doing or what he did, you can't do that to a person who is handcuffed and inside the vehicle, there is no valid reason to do that, so you are part of the problem if you justify this type of behavior, you cannot justify the unjustifiable, because of people like you the police think they can do whatever they want no matter what and it can't go on like this, they aren't even trained to deal with a mentally ill person, they still tase them, beaten or kill a person without even knowing why they are acting wrongly and if you defend that it's because you are as criminal as them, I have seen many people like you on KZbin who have changed their way of thinking about the police after having an encounter with them, with this kind of police nobody is ever safe, no matter how good a citizen you are and have always been, some of them will always find a way to make you regret ever crossing paths with them, period.
