This is not a joke, right? I saw Doctors, scientists, Nurses, Health & Wellness teachers die like flies. First of all: The three stages of nutrient breakdown are the following: Stage 1: Glycolysis for glucose, β-oxidation for fatty acids, or amino acid catabolism. Stage 2: Citric Acid Cycle (or Kreb cycle) Stage 3: Electron Transport Chain and ATP synthesis. What are the enzymes involved in protein metabolism? Endopeptidases are enzymes that add water to an internal peptide bond in a peptide chain and break that bond. Three common endopeptidases that come from the pancreas are pepsin, trypsin, and chymotrypsin. Chymotrypsin performs a hydrolysis reaction that cleaves after aromatic residues.2.- Human cytochrome P450 (CYP) , CYP3A4. Glad I'm not the only weight training advocate that favours a low carb diet. Carbs severely ramp up my excessive anxiety levels and that's from bread, baked beans, and even brown rice. My heart rate skyrocketed the last time I had brown rice, and the same happened with baked beans and sausage. I also get autistic rages after eating even sourdough bread and any foods really containing sugar (as well as sugar and carb crashes and a feeling of an empty stomach within a couple of hours). Now the issue is affording grass fed cattle meat, and finding all the products that haven't been intoxicated with sugar/dextrose. I love nearly all of those products mentioned (with the exception of rice and the high end carb products as I'm just not suited to them with my hyper sensory issues, sadly)although I'm dairy intolerant but do manage to eat edam cheese and a m & s block of mild cheese. Unsure about cottage cheese currently. I feel that more fish products could do with being mentioned as they are high in protein, fat and omega 3 sources. Most carb and sugar foods cause inflammatory problems with myself also and at 44, one has to make dietary adjustments to coincide with an ageing body but otherwise, (other than a groin issue - could be hernia but certain foods and combinations cause pain down there)I'm weight training 3x a week with a waist no bigger than 30" and I dance 2x a week as well as walk over 4hours a day with the job that I do. Although I'm not ketogenic, I'm fully in support of a lower carb diet, but perhaps this is more for myself and may not be suitable for everyone.

Work it(rip it) +feed it + rest it = growth. Gains don’t discriminate. It takes all three are equally important. They creatine would fall in the rest category as it hydrates the muscle with water is in repair I’d be the recovery process which is what the food also does helps with recovery. I just like 1+1+1 is three rip it plus faded plus rest =GAINS If consistency is going along with the three

I take care of 6 people every day...and I have no issues getting in morning and afternoon workouts...my issue is rest...what amount of time should I rest after a workout to get the best of results...once the weather gets better I will start back on my walks/runs I do 8 miles and 2 miles are hiit at a steep uphill grade...I love this walk because of this part of it ...I hit it twice on each outing...my question is how long should I rest before I make my way back to get the best from that workout...before I was losing 11 pounds a week consistently for 7 weeks...so I know I can lose the weight but my gains is where I fall short...I can put on muscle but it's almost like I lose it over a week if I don't do it every day...and some days I just can't do it because of things I have to get done...any help will be appreciated

@ BIGGUN3460 The only reason you sleep is so your body can recover, repair itself. Well rested is referring to your body has recovered well from every day leading up to that point in time. Your rest comes when you sleep that’s how you really recover I’m not referring to how many days in between working the same muscle. That would be an opinionated question and it’s whatever or however you feel I just make sure that your body’s getting good rest and make sure your body is getting good food. And you can’t overstress stretching and keeping your joints from being damaged trying to better the body.

I do eat meat, but I am a bit wary when we are told that meat such as beef and chicken are foods that you need in order to build muscle. Especially beef. I heard that it takes beef 48 hours to digest after being consumed, which doesn't sound healthy to me. There has to be plant based alternatives out there that can do the job even better. Plant based foods digest quicker and the fats are natural unlike the animal based fats that can be harmful leading to clogged arteries. You just have to do your research and find the best and natural products out there to build your body.

You don't need all those on the list. As long as you get enough protein each day it doesn't matter which ingredients it comes from, though I believe animal protein is more bio-available for us. I don't do vegetable protein. Best sources Meat Fish and Eggs followed by dairy if you can tolerate it.

There are no essential carbs. If you eat carbs and you're ok with them then rice, potatoes, pasta and bread are all fine. However, if you don't eat carbs you really don;t need them once your body is fat adapted. Best of luck to everyone building muscle and losing fat.

The only ones not on my list are cottage cheese and quinoa. I used to get the quinoa pasta but it's produced in the same facility where they have soy (well the brand I get).
