*I accidentally said "reservations" instead of "renovations" - just a little brain fart, my bad!
*Some people might see a weird glitch at 3:03. It doesn't happen for everyone but it appears to be more likely on phones. Don't know what that is.
*Apparently I said the same line before the numbers in Halloween II. My bad. Bound to happen with 270 Kill Counts!

Oh my God, did she just say "I wanted the characters to have flaws"? She wants them to seem like genuine people, and not some 2d superficial personoid that has no flaws or struggles whatsoever? When someone writes in characters with that mindset, you're bound to create something wonderful, and your stories will at least have fleshed out characters even if the plot is "cliche". I applaud her, and thank her for keeping, at the very least, an integral part of storytelling alive.

Comparing this movie and Charlie’s Angels is like comparing a shiny diamond with a pile of shit This movie is so damn good
@TheCabalOnMars
@TheCabalOnMars 3 жыл бұрын
@@higaiwokeru ah, that's one example I feel would fit that description, yes. I simply see storytelling on the decline in multiple works today, the character aspect specifically. If it were something where the characters didn't matter, like a slasher, that's one thing... however I've observed what should have been character-focused stories delegate their attention to making characters flawless, and removing all genuine emotion or talent from them in the process. This hurts storytelling, I feel, it's the difference between shoddy ice cream made out of incredibly cheap ingredients and better quality ice cream. You can enjoy both, sure, but if you truly pay attention the rich flavor of one makes the other pale in comparison. This can be said for modern storytelling, and the cheaper stuff keeps coming out more than the rich stuff in my opinion.

But it had a decent diversity of characters, and I don’t feel like it reflected too negatively on Arkansas. Mortician here checking in! I have never seen a dead body spray blood like that - arterial spray requires a beating heart. Dead people just slowly ooze out blood when you cut them, if they bleed at all (someone experienced can avoid any major veins or arteries). But kudos on showing an accurate morgue! They are always SO MUCH SMALLER than depicted on tv and movies, and generally very dark and out of date compare to the rest of the hospital. Also the head nurse was right to be very shocked and disturbed about what Mandy was doing down in the morgue. I have never seen a nurse in the morgue even one time. Porters do all of the moving people in and out of them.

Disney is not going to give main characters flaws as everything is fiction. While I’ve found everyone Disney movie as protagonist with slight flaws that aren’t super noticeable until you’re older

@@TeeRose Uhh you kinda died at the end there. As well as, most 2000’s Disney movies don’t have flaws a good protagonist would have. Age doesn’t really doesn’t matter when finding a good character or not. If that were true, I guess I’d be able to find every protagonist’s flaws, since I’m 28. And with your grammar, I’d say you would find little to nothing in a character.

@@TeeRose Also, giving the main character flaws makes them a good character. If the character doesn’t have flaws, we don’t have anything to root for. It would be a baseless, stale character who we know is gonna win through everything. It makes a boring character for a boring movie.
