an interesting note that I'm not sure the director and writer intended was that fact that whenever the group was away from the chat "Jack" couldn't harm them. Teddy wasn't attacked until he joined the chat, Gemma wasn't harmed when she left to save Haley and for all we know Saylen was the only survivor given that the entity didn't seem to want her involved. My theory is that when the group talks about the connection earlier in the film to them they created a hypothetic mental connection when in truth the chat itself was the connection. perhaps all of them would have survived if they all left the chat, breaking the real "rope."

These people did an AMAZING job with what they had to work with, like, this movie scared me more (and more often) in 56 minutes than plenty of other horror flicks have in twice that long. I kinda want to rewatch it in a dark room on my laptop using just my headphones to see if that sort of immersion makes it any scarier. Last two times I paused the kill count to watch the movie were Ready Or Not and Better Watch Out, and both times I was very surprised by how much I ended up liking the movie. I find it odd that no one had the idea of praying or invoking the Lord. You'd think that with crucifixes and other religious stuff in other films (or the 2 priests in The Exorcist) someone would have had the idea. But besides that, it bothers me that they were playing so lightheartedly with something as serious as spirits. You never know what you're dealing with in these cases, and the outcome can be very dangerous, as shown in the film.

@@duckerdy5722 around 20k is alright. Most entry level jobs are around 18k depending on where you live obviously it will be higher in London than it is up North in Leeds due to rent or mortgage repayments etc. Let's say a single guy living on the outskirts of London pulling 20k. It's about 1600 a month after tax and national insureance payments and contribution to company pension. Let's say rent is 700. That's 900. Let's say they have Netflix, Spotify premium, and contract on their phone, that leaves let's call it 830. Travelling to and from work is 200 for the month with an oyster card leaves over 600. If you're on your own food shop is about 45 for a week let's call it 50 because that is easier to math that's around 200. Leaves around 400. Which is about 4 drinks in London (JK, but the cost of drinks is ridiculous down there). Because we pay national insurance on our salary that goes to paying for our national health service. I may have a personal issue with the hospital that once operated on me incorrectly, the fact that I don't have to pay a few grand for treating a broken arm and if I don't have the insurance they won't even treat me, makes me pretty happy.
