I am amazed that you would hitchhike in a country that you don't speak the language, to an area that is warned against traveling to by foreigners. Your video is very informative and exciting!

Some of these Turkish people came to Washington State in USA where they set up a kitchen making wonderful apricot & apple candy. It is a premium "Turkish Delight" called Aplets & Cotlets. Located in Lake Chelan, a small town on a large, beautiful mountain lake. My favorite candy!

More fascinating viewing. Just ordinary people living their lives. Just like people here and everywhere who live on the land. For 20 years I lived that way too. Just living with nature in peace, not rich, hard work but happy.

Turkey apricots are nice... love them... Once in istambul i bought a kg from the bazaar market, and it served me as a supplementary fruit while travelling around istambul. Turkey coffee also has good flavour to my liking. Envy you travelled all over turkey... however i enjoyed your footage and especially your interactions with the locals

Nice video. Now I know also, how Ararat looks like from west. I saw it today from east side, Armenia, just a few meters from Turkish border, a place called Khor Virap, an important place in christian history. Mount Ararat nearly uncovered his peak from clouds, so the view was amazing. Regards Heinrich

This is the essence of being a traveler, blending in with the locals. It’s so daunting to do that coz most of the time we stay with fellow tourists. You are so brave and I can’t imagine doing that. Do you just use Google Maps to navigate and know where you are?

I never realized there was an issue between Turkey and Armenia. I would say it's sad, but it may keep a lot of problems in check to keep the border closed. I never would have said it was a good idea to separate people because of their beliefs, but over the past 8 years I have seen how bad it can be here in the USA and now I can understand the need to keep people apart!

I can remember looking north east on our way up to the Black Sea, and being told the high mountain was Ararat. Noah's Ark is supposed to have landed on it, after the big flood in early biblical times (Christian story). The local people, I notice, are still as friendly and hospitable as I remember them. I love apricots, too.
