Great shadow work video brother. For me personally as a formerly severely depressed person, the ego death had to come before shadow work, I had to get a grip on true reality first. I had to dissolve all that I thought was me and gain a more accurate grasp, then I began to work on the more superficial or shallower aspects of myself, such as attachments and personality or emotional ties. Otherwise like me you'll end up frustrated and pestered by the same "demons" needing exorcism, never able to complete the shadow work. I just don't want anyone else to make the same mistake. Creator bless the I Am

Same here - after everything came down, i had to "sift through the debree" first, looking for useable "bricks". Slow process indeed, but delivering profound results. Keep it up! 🌱

I have a question, how do you get that “ego death”
@TOGAB8 ай бұрын
Simple, don't just understand, don't just know on an intellectual level, but KNOW in your soul that YOU aren't "Savannah Lopez", you aren't a daughter, sister, mother, worker, or ANYTHING else that you have ever been labeled or called since your birth. Those were just tags and descriptions given to you by society and others. The actual you is NONE of those things. You're not rich or poor or good or bad, popular or an outcast, you're not brown, black or white. Those are just roles you are playing in this lifetime. You're not even human sister. The REAL you is amazing and indescribable to behold, you are Creator Love at your essence, a fractal of the One Creator, an eternal multidimensional being of light just playing the role of a human in order to gain the experience. ALL of the above descriptions of what you THINK yourself to be, what you've been told, must be dissolved. It is a hard pill to swallow, but it must be, because that is truth. What you think you are in this life is the LEAST of what you are. And like I mentioned in my original comment, until you grasp this, all of the crap surrounding those limiting identifications will keep coming up as shadow work. You are nothing and your are everything. You are the wave upon the ocean and the ocean itself. See? You are part of the One Consciousness, the I Am, the Everything. And you can't be everything and still be little ol' Savannah Lopez the human female who lives on planet Earth, in this country, in that state, in that city, who is this that and the all the other things that people AND yourself, tell you that you are. You don't return to Creator as Savannah Lopez, you return to Mother/Father/Creator as what you are, part of the I Am, pure consciousness, pure Light and Love. THAT is what you really are with your ego and EVERY label ever placed on you, including human, dissolved. Once the ego and the silly human labels are gone, and the shadow work associated with those labels and perceptions is done, then you should never have to address it again. For Pure Consciousness, and eternal beings of Light don't require shadow work, as there's nothing there TO accumulate or foster false perceptions and the pain that comes with them. For example; I'm a beat up, tired, multiple traumatized, scarred human male in this life. I have fought men, rejected women and lived alone on purpose. And as an environmental professional I cleaned up rivers and mountains all around this planet. I've been shot, stabbed, married, had kids, and have been near death several times. And yet NONE of those things happened to "Me". I thought they did, and I have created a very tough intelligent and independent avatar around those incidents, I created a "me". But it was never me, it was just a story within one lifetime. Understand that, realize the "characters" you've played in this life, dissolve them first, dissolve the ego which is associated with any label, and then dissolve the shadows attached to them. You're Spirit sister, and pure spirit doesn't have shadow attachments, it's impossible. That's why you should dissolve ego first, then the shadows around it are easy. Good luck@@savannahlopez3370

That's something I've been wondering too. Suspend the lower self fix using psychological methods and go directly to the source, the higher self, and everything else will dissolve as the illusion that it is. It's just a bit difficult with a mental disorder like BPD where you have no sense of self and its all dumped into the unconscious. Still working on a more concrete solution

Here are the question, still I'd recommend to watch watching the video since the side notes and commentaries are interesting and helpful too 💜 1- what advice would I give someone in my exact same position or my younger self? 2- what do I need to say no to (or who)? 3- what would I do if I knew I couldn't fail? (Use it daily for weeks, make your subconscious mind work) 4- what specific fears hold me back from doing those things (be very specific)? 5- what simple but specific name would you give to that fear? (Shadow and light side, what you do makes it one or the other - see fear as excitement or adrenaline) 6- who am I still angry at? (Visualize the conversation you would have with them and all the possibilities of their answers) 7- who do I need to forgive? 8- what have I changed my mind on? (What was important and now it doesn't any longer? 9- think of someone who betrayed or hurt you: how do you feel about this person? 9.1- How has this changed you? 9.2- And can you name thez shadow trait that needs to be integrated? 10- what triggers you? (Pay attention and record them on a journal, for a week) 11- what and who makes you anrgy, annoyed, disgusted? 12- what are your pet peeves? 13- why does this bother you so much? (Do you fear being like that, are you like that, or do you want to be more like that? 14- what's the log in your own eye preventing you from forgiving the speck in theirs? * 15- how can I consistently act to minimize the evil done in the world? 16- how can I continually improve the quality of the actions that I do every day (as they make up all of my life)? 17- what would happen if I only said things I deeply believe to be true? 18- what makes me interested in some things and not others (since it doesn't seem to be a voluntary choice)? 19- why has science taught us virtually nothing about consciousness? 20- how can I become strong enough to be useful in a crisis? 21- what do currently do that adds the most quality and meaning to my life? 22- how can I do more of that (and less of what detracts from that quality)?

Takes me back to my early Recovery work in 12 step groups where I did a lot of PAINFUL self examination to face & change much of the unhealthy conditioning given to me by my shame-based parents & others. I haven't done much self-examination work in a long time so some of my dysfunctional shame behaviors have RETURNED!!! I still remember how to do self-examinations so there's still hope for some more Recovery. Guess I just got lazy or cocky??? 😂😂😂

Who do i need to say no to What would i do if i knew i could not fail What specific fears hold me back from doing those things? What simple or specific name would you give to that fear? Fear=excitement The feeling is usefully excitement, it’s energy Who am i still angry at? What have i change my mind on? What seemed important to you that just doesn’t matter anymore? What or who has hurt you? How do you feel about it? How has this bitterness changed your life? Can you name the shadow trait that needs to be integrated? What triggers you? What are your pet peeves? When I ask the question about who I'm still angry at, the main person that comes to mind is myself. Mainly I think for wasting so much of my life feeling dissatisfied and always yearning for something i don't have, but other reasons to. Its like I'm in control of my life, so really if I'm not happy with it then I shouldn't have anyone but myself to feel annoyed with. Anyone else feel this way about this question?

Excellent video very useful,but i would like to add one more thing about forgiveness,above everyone else you should start to forgive yourself,it doesn't just happen in a day Or two but you need a serious of sessions with your shadow,allowing yourself to understand better and more precise, every time giving you an extra information which was burried. Once you start to forgive and understand yourself better you tend to slowly let go of things and my confidence improved like rocket. I no more fool myself into faking confidence. I let my shadow be my confidence facing my insecurities and fear. Like Jordon Peterson says you should use your aggression in such cases in a constrictive manner which can work in your favour instead of against.

Now after finding your shadows what to do with it. For example if you find you hate manipulators cause youve been manipulated and misguided and left betrayed, that triggers you the hate, now how to deal with that shadow?
@JoshRueff10 ай бұрын
Interestingly enough, the series I'm working on right now tackles this - identifying the buttons/triggers and figuring out how to structure your life to minimize those buttons, but also how to work through the complexes we have to alleviate/release/empty as much of the psychic energy pooled up in those complexes as possible. Hoping to have it finished soon!

I have paused and been stuck on "what would you do if you knew you could not fail" for 20 minutes now. My mind is running over scenarios but nothing resonates. I find no drive, no passion to really do anything at all even if offered everything. Why is this? Where is my zeal, my ambition, gone?
@JoshRueff16 күн бұрын
I'm not a therapist, but I'll lay out some possibilities based off what I've learned so far. It sounds like you may need to start stacking small wins until your dopamine and serotonin levels are where they need to be (and eat foods and only foods that help with that). That can take awhile, but once you get there it's easier to maintain. Could be overall health potentially-- do you work out/eat healthy foods? It makes a massive difference for me. If you're a man, you could check your testosterone levels -- lots of ways to get that where it should be. Low t and other imbalances can result in lack of motivation/drive. Do you consider yourself lower in "the hierarchy" than you should be? (This was a problem for me for many years, my mind refused to be happy if I felt lower than I should be -- I think I subconsciously compared myself to my father and couldn't be happy until I was at least at his level, maybe higher actually -- just a guess but I remember reading that men do this commonly). If so, finding hierarchies (workplaces, churches, friend groups, etc) you know you can excel within could be helpful, or even create your own. I think it's best to have a balance of hierarchies you're at or near the top of, and hierarchies you're lower in -- being at the top keeps the mind strong, confident, happy and better equipped for stress and risk, while being at the bottom keeps you humble and gives you great opportunities to learn. Staying on top, being and feeling competent, working out, getting good sleep, eating healthy, having good relationships, a significant other -- these things all substantially contribute to your ability to up-regulate those dopamine receptors as much as possible. I think serotonin maybe too. Those things, esp dopamine, make you motivated and driven. To take the first step in any of those areas, pick 3 stupid-simple steps to take. Just starting is always the worst, but knocking out those 3 simple steps typically gets you far in enough to get on a roll (it's the small wins pattern - does wonders at multiple levels). I'm rooting for you. Good luck!

From this video I actually have done a lot and created a prayer as a tool. I hope to be a successful shadow work coach one day soon and find videos like this valuable.

𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐦𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 in my life that I can remember being 'cringe', was a moment in which I gained wisdom. 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐦𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 in my life where I hurt others, was a moment I deepened my empathy. 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐦𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 in my life where I gave in to my fears, was an invitation to grow my determination. 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐦𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 in my life that I felt unloved, was an invitation to open my heart and to love deeper. I forgive everyone that taught me important milestone lessons through pain, abandonment, and physical or psychological violence. These moments were profound and let me step higher into my power. I forgive myself for hurting myself or others as pain teaches us and lets us grow. In our ignorance, in our fetal state we act unconsciously. And each time, we step further into illumination. Here and now I choose to be wiser, kinder, stronger more passionate and show deep respect and compassion for those around me and for myself.

@@nobodyproductions9453 I love it, way to put in the hard work -- I'm confident many people will benefit because of your willingness to consistently push yourself through the pain/effort/work. Kudos and good luck!
