i first watched frances ha when i was around seventeen and i liked it but didn’t connect with it that much. i watched it a handful of times and my opinion stayed the same. but then, last year i was couch surfing in nyc, i had basically no money and everything was falling apart. the alamo drafthouse downtown screened it in preparation for the barbie movie so i went. and oh my god. it clicked. i got it. i was her. i _am_ her. it felt like graduating the lady bird college so i could pursue my masters in frances ha. it could take a little while for you to connect with it, but i’d HIGHLY recommend revisiting it in a few years. it could be the right time for you :)

I don’t know if you’ve watched this movie yet, but it’s called Paprika, it’s an animated japanese movie from 2006 I believe. I watched it recently and really liked it. It’s a really bizarre movie and I really recommend watching it or at least looking into it.

I LOVEEE paprika, i used to watched it all the time as a kid and I definitely didn't understand everything but I remember being obsessed by it.

Dakota , I have been watching your video for years , pretty much since you started and have always had a feeling that you’d love some polish Classic books I doubt that you’ll ever see this but if you do I strongly recommend that you read anything by Adam Mickiewicz or Tango by Stanisław Mrożek, I think you would absolutely adore either

The Zone of Interest is based on a book by Martin Amis, you should check out some of his works! I've only read Money by him so far and thought it was brilliant 😁
