Earlier people who can afford taxi preferred taxi from Guindy to central. Now the trend changed. At much lower cost people could travel comfortably and faster using metro. So people who can afford taxi also started preferring the metro now. Companies started to give metro cards which is again promoting public transport. So I feel in future when connectivity is good, like me, others would also prefer to use metro.

Bro neenga solra maadhri public place ah irundha private transport usage irukun dha but adhula dhana neraya revenue paka mudiyun. Govt buildings na thirumba debt la dhan pogun. Once ela corridors complete ana apron you can easily travel to long distances.

Privacy, Comfort etc.. Still we have to wait and travel in crowd (even in metro) it's okay for regular days when we compare for outing especially like mall we need comfort so obviously we choose private transportation. But I'm sure metro will give more comfort than other public transportation
