Every morning when I wake up, I rinse my face with cold water, moisturize, brush teeth and drink 20 ounces of warm water. It’s a great habit that energizes and hydrates. Around my house, I use the OHIO method…Only Handle It Once. Instead of putting a dirty bowl in the sink with the intent of putting it in the dishwasher later, I do it at that time. Really helps with the mounting clutter.

You look amazing in red! I just ordered a few tops in red. I’ve never worn red, ever. Loving at the moment. I’m a former personal trainer. First thing I teach my clients is exercise to improve posture. With practice it becomes habit, even sitting. Everyone looks and feels taller and thinner! Stand in front of mirror. Breath in for 5 seconds, raising chest, and lifting abs. Blow out without lowering chest. Repeat 4x. After 4 times you’ll see a noticeable difference in posture. Chest will be higher and waist will appear slimmer. I tell clients to practice daily. Takes just a minute and you’ll have huge improvement.

I'm going to try your PanOxyl tip. I quit using aluminum-based antiperspirants years ago, tried making my own, with mixed success, and lately my armpits have been breaking out -- so for several days at a time I just don't use anything, or I use plain coconut oil or even castor oil with a bit of tea tree oil mixed in, until it heals. My usual deodorant is now the deodorant crystal. YES to hiring house cleaners!!! My dog died a couple of years ago and I just couldn't bear to clean anything for over a year, because it felt like I was "cleaning him away." I finally gave in and had someone ELSE clean his nose prints off the front glass storm door. Let someone ELSE vacuum the dog hair and steam clean his black fur out of the white carpets. Let someone ELSE clean the muddy paw prints out of the bathtub, left from the last time I gave him a bath. I had them come back twice a month for several months until that was all taken care of, and now they come back once a month. (I have a full-time job.) I am grateful for their help. And I still really really really miss him.

My dermatologist recommends mineral sunscreen which also comes in powder form. The one I have is SPF 30, and you just dust it on your face. It's sheer and doesn't affect the look of makeup or bare skin. The big bonus is there is no greasy residue. I use one made by Èminence.

Anna I love this video! So many great practical tips some of which I already do and some I’ll implement. At nearly 48 I think I’ve only gone to bed with makeup on maybe two nights of my life. Yuck! I found a gem from a fellow You Tuber called Makeup Erasers from Amazon. They come in a huge pack, are cheap and reusable. I keep a stack handy near my bathroom, grab one each night, flip it over and use it once more the next night. They really do ‘erase’ with water ALL the makeup. I was feeling really bad about filling the landfill with my disposable wipes, and these are completely natural too. Now that my girls are dabbling in makeup I bought them each a set too. 👌🏼

Last year I saw a video for hack re beauty and personal care. My favorite one that I now use re underarm odor is to apply witch hazel to the area anytime I feel the need to. The odor is caused by certain bacteria on the skin, which the witch hazel neutralizes and restores the pH of the skin. You can apply the witch hazel liquid by spraying it on, or just get some in your hand and pat it on the area. It only takes a couple of minutes to dry. I do this every morning, or anytime I need to feel refreshed. I discontinued using deodorants with aluminum a couple of years ago, and find this hack to be very helpful. This does not replace cleansing the underarms, but is an inexpensive adjunct to remedy the odor situation. The kind I use has a very slight lavender scent to it, but unscented witch hazel does not smell bad, imo. Thanks ☺️.

Sunscreen really is essential. I've been using a SPF day cream since I was a teenager. It was only 15SPF but it has me looking at least 10 years younger now at 45. I upped the factor to at least 25SPF when I turned 40. I refuse to buy make up that has zero SPF. In Summer I use a SPF50 any time I leave the house and specially when we are somewhere with a lake or beach. There are many light formulas developed for the face. They're not greasy at all.

Since I washed with a disinfectant as prep for my hysterectomy last summer, I think I killed off good bacteria and my skin microbiome got out of balance ONLY IN MY RIGHT ARMPIT. I am taking a screenshot of this product to the drug store. I will let you know if this helps get rid of this stubborn bacteria on my right side. I've been using dish soap and a well worn, soft bottle brush, repeating three times. It has made me self conscious and miserable in spite of extra scrubbing and extra deodorant. The face wash sounds mild enough to not irritate the tender skin. It's still a little cool in Chicago, but I am hoping to get a little sun on that shady area this weekend. Thank you. Thank you. I used to keep a linen blend blazer in the trunk of my car or at the office. Now that I am retired, I tend to default to a cardigan tied around my waist or in a tote. AC inside restaurants and stores can get crazy.
