I just had a baby five weeks ago and I’ve been loving watching your videos since then. When I was pregnant I got rid of over 3/4 of my wardrobe. It was surprisingly easy for me to get rid of my outdated clothes that I had been hanging on for far too long while they didn’t fit me! now I’m getting to the point where I want to start wearing real clothes again- I am being patient and really thinking about the pieces I add to my wardrobe. I would so much rather have less while spending a little more on items that are high-quality, slow fashion items. I love how channels like yours promote sustainability by not encouraging fast fashion. Having children has a really open my eyes to the consumerism that our society has encouraged for far too long.

Summer is my favorite clothing season! I really only feel comfortable in dresses and skirts and they can be hard to keep warm in colder months. My standard summer outfit is a loose fitting (or tight fitting!) crop top paired with an ankle length skirt and flip flops. Or a t shirt dress, or my corset (a renn faire style) and a long skirt. I want to get a jumpsuit, but I already have one, and I want to wear all my clothes until they're unservicable, so I don't really buy new things. But, I feel so comfortable dressing in my standard outfits.

As someone who lives in a country where 8 out of 12 months are swelteringly hot I'm so grateful for this list Bethany.. I never felt stylish or chic in summer kind of threw on whatever I had in random Outfits ,winter used to be my favourite season as I could dress up in in outfits that will make me comfortable+ confident..but now with this checklist I can build a nice capsule wadrobe slowly and it will give me so much more confidence in summers too!

Love how confident you look in every ensemble! I opted for a kimono instead of linen blazer (they look similar except kimono doesn't have lapels) because I don't like how I look in blazers. It is so comfortable to wear a breezy outerwear in tropical weather.

Absolutely enjoyed his video! Ever since I found linens and organic cotton for summer wear. I have not looked back, now I own ten dresses, three high-waisted pants, seven skirts in different styles and colours, and ten tops in different styles and colours. If I need a beautiful gown or something elegant, my sister who works in a store, they (the managers) allow me to rent dresses (there is a small fee) but I don't mind, most gowns nowadays are $900 - $2,000 dollars tops. I love the simplicity of your style, I have incorporated some of that along with colours such as mint greens, khakis, whites, and red (not the bright red in your face) a subdued summer red. And about a dozen hats, because why not? Even found a pretty parasol that covers me when I go out. Congratulations on your new home Bethany! It is beautiful. 💜 ❤ 🙂

Linen and silk, but mostly linen, are my fabrics of choice when it gets above 65 degrees (I live in NH). Linen is so forgiving, even for me as a working mother, with a lot of weight to lose and a lot of opportunities for my nice clothes to get dirty.
