In leading load case it looks like the j Ia Xs could go to the left of original Ea and still hit the locus of Ea. Why is that now a possible mode of operation ? Thank you

In leading condition why don't you extend the jix drop in left side .it also could be touch the locus of Ea,i mean why you extend it only right side

I mean if inductive or resistive or capacitive load are connected across Synchronous den wat will be effect on power factor of synchronous generator .Also If load increased den wat d effect on power factor of synchronous machine

Sir when we draw for capative load u move the jIaX phasor to the right side but Ea is not constant so u move the phasor left side... My question is when u move the phasor to the right side if u further increase the phsor till locus then Ea is constant.... Why u couldn't increase phasor till locus then u say Ea is not constant... Clarify this doubt sir

you cannot increase it just so that you touch the Ea locus, the concept is at a particular value of Ia so so by a particular valuy of jIaXa

And as you show in that example in lagging case when I increase therfore ix drop increase and therefore terminal voltage decrease

Aniket Srivastav so yes it’s decreasing only. For leading load only it gets increased.

Ea is independent of Ia....so it will be constant on basis of field current and speed....where as the terminal voltage will change due to more armature reaction(Xs) and more IaR drop

@@aryanzee3072 an increase in load can be imagined as increase in resistors operating in parallel whose equivalent resistance will be decreased and thus line current increased
