I was in a toxic relationship. Not appreciated, he would go out with his friends and left me alone. I had a surgery and didn’t come to my hospital and not even call ...:( this was so painful 😣 and I was in love with him completely. In the morning I was going to work and decided: this is over. I told him on what s up he accepted and said he doesn’t love me (more pain)...I had a few weeks hard at work and by night but...after a few months my self esteem is back, I feel so much better and no more pain so much happier. The power of walking away is amazing. When u are disrespected, taken for granted,0 effort from him, toxic relationship walking away is so powerful !

It all goes so much deeper. Most of us women with low/no self esteem have had a narcissist family of origin. It's a long road to recover. You need to change your entire way of being going way back to your childhood. For me it was 45 years of having low self esteem drilled into me. I will probably never have another romantic relationship but the difference is that I am now happy with that :)

I come from a messed up dysfunctional broken home. I now find myself struggling in my marriage of 11 years . I guess I cant see some bad qualities I have on my own. I am praying for God to help me be a better wife and I see things differently in my marriage and I can overcome my narcissist uncles on my dads side and low expectation grandmother who just said negative things about me and my siblings when ever we visited. Dad got weekend visitation rights. Almost all of my family had been divorced, so I had few role models. I am working on making my life have more quality in relation to my husband and children and people around me .

Ladies, believe in yourself. You are irreplaceable. Live your most authentic life. Develop your heart and mind to the best of your abilities and share your gifts as you see fit. Make sure to ace the toxic people. They will only hold you back and down. Develop your best sense of who really values you and don't hurt yourself too much if your trust sometimes turns out not to be merited. We just learn. People can be shallow and manipulative; don't let that get to your beautiful self. Believe in your own dignity and inherent worth. No one gives you your status in society or your worth - that's yours to make and own. No one can put a price tag on you or take that away from you. If they try, it's all about them, not you. That's all you need to know, ladies. Rock on.

This guy never called,nor apologized and he want to just act like everything is okay by texting? So I put him in his place and told him to not text me again and that am done taking his bs.i love me and appreciate me ,so I won't allow him make me feel less or treat me less.So yes I dumped him without looking back.

I once had a friend ( former best friend) who had to make sure she expressed to men...." I am good woman ", when in conversation about generalities in life, or conversation about why she was divorced. It became annoying, because it was unnecessary.. .so ... one evening, we're out on a girl's night out, I took her to the Ladies Room, and asked her ( being kind about it) why she felt she needed to do this ; she really had no idea " why ".....I explained to her ,that in attempts to " validate herself ", it was coming across as a bit narcissistic and might be a red flag for some men. I asked her if she knew the quote from Margaret Thatcher.... " Being powerful is like being a Lady , .. If you have to tell people you are,..then you're not. " She got the message, lol.
@debbiedyer93184 жыл бұрын
This was an empowering message and immediately useful information. The problem is that self-esteem takes time, and, to your point, no man will create self-esteem in any woman - she has to create it herself. Understanding that and having healthy boundaries (a very hard lesson) is the best advice for all women. I’m a psychologist and do this work with my clients almost everyday. Self-worth, self-esteem and self-confidence are all internally defined. If you allow your sense of self to be defined by other people or situations, you will always be miserable because those will always change and shift. You don’t have any control of that - you only have control over your own thoughts, feelings and behavior. My two cents :)

Another great video! From a man point of view everything Sabrina is saying is very attractive for a man and types of qualities a high quality man will chase and want to commit too! My only advice is once you have a high quality man keep being a high quality woman and don’t stop doing what you were doing before and you will continue to be happy with yourself and in relationship!
@justinlancaster28542 жыл бұрын
I totally disagree with this assessment. Nothing about this self-absorption and self-centered self-promotion would make a woman an attractive partner to pursue. Very skewed view of “value.” How about skills and traits that go toward partnering, parenting, cooperating, listening, supporting, etc. This is sad hogwash. Good luck to these high value women!
@MzJauna114 жыл бұрын
12 Way to be a High Value Woman. 1. Decide you are a woman of high value. Watch how you talk to yourself. 2. Have a full life. Do not wait for a man to complete you. Stop stressing about finding a guy. Exercise and have fun! 3. Look your best! 😍 When you look good, you feel good! 4. Have boundaries and stick to them! Prioritize yourself and your feelings. Do not abandon yourself! Have standards. Do not put up with poor treatment no matter how much you like a person. 5. Use your walking power. Be ok with walking away from a relationship that you do not want. 6. Do not obsess over your relationship, enjoy them! You are worthy of love 😚 7. Do not show off or try to prove your worth. 8. Do not rely on his reassurance to make you feel good about yourself. 9. Put yourself first! Do not bend over backwards trying to put your man first. 10. Be a good person. 11. Embrace yourself fully! Accept yourself for exactly who you are. Work on being your own best friend. 12. Fake it until you make it. Be Confident!

I [normally] am a confident woman...that's what my partner was attracted to. Then he felt intimidated by my confidence...so somewhere along the line, I became a doormat. This week I have been plunged into another depression as he pulled away. Today, randomly my neighbor came upstairs [as I looked like the dogs dinner] and he said 'we each have two wolves; one is nice and one is mean. Be mindful of which one you feed'. I never knew I had a good wolf, but that bad one, ate Red Riding hood and her whole family in my life! I am going to try to get back to being a high value woman...

You should probably lose the weight. (If its possible, could be from medication and difficult or impossible btw...) But you should also have a huge talk about his language with him. Tell him you took it as abusive. (Which could be, or he doesnt know how to talk about leaving you, what he wants, etc.) If you get hurt or attacked more and no understanding human connection or apology once it sinks in (a real one, not the smoothe, player abusive kind) RUN he is abusive. You dodged a bullet and thank god you're overweight and got to see the truth about his level of meanness inside.

I agree with all your points and would add, find out what your life mission is. So many of us are brainwashed into thinking that a romantic relationship is so fulfilling and so important when I haven’t found it to be true. To me nothing is greater than being free and creative, just like my life path number 3 would indicate. I realize that the less I attach to any notion, the better my life is. Though I’ve learned from all my dating experiences, they haven’t been anything close to earth shattering. We need to get real.

Sometimes when I think I can't be arsed, sometimes all I need to do is wash my hair and put some makeup on and my husbands like where are you going? Most of the time I fight against how I actually feel. My husband is the complete opposite and he can get very low - so I try and combat my feelings. I try to for him. Sometimes he listens.
