I am Scottish. I have just come across your video. I can't believe you are Brazilian. You sound Welsh to me. I have an Iranian friend who moved here to Scotland from Wales and we thought she had a,Welsh accent which she found hilarious. Your English is amazing. I am only fluent in English & French. My father was a French & German teacher so I spent most summer holidays visiting French friends he made as a student.

I really enjoyed this. I’m so fascinated with UK life. I’d love to move there, but it’s really hard to. Growing up, we had a washing machine in our kitchen, and I’m in NY.

Washing machines are in the kitchen because it has mains water plumbed in and a waste water outlet also plumbed in. Plus 13 amp sockets are plentiful. The mains electricity is wired in the kitchen for oven so it is easy to wire in the washing machine.

I am from the Czech republic and I don't remember anyone visiting us without invitation since ever 😀 I would definitely hide myself as well and pretend I am not at home 🤷🏻‍♀️😀 But when I was in Brazil with my partner to meet his family I was so surprised about this! Exactly what you said - I was in the shower, went downstairs after and there was 5 more people 😀 out of nowhere! So weird to me, I felt a bit of a social anxiety there 😀 Lovely video, I am in love with British culture ❤️

Hi, Ysis. Olha, visitar pessoas sem ter sido convidado, ao menos aqui no centro de São Paulo, atualmente, não é mais tão comum assim, não... Acho que era mais quando éramos mais novos, não hoje em dia... É o que me parece. Agradeço por todas as novidades que você trouxe, esse da faixa de pedestre diferente foi muito interessante!!!! Washing machines are in the kitchen so it is easy to carry wet washing outside to dry on a washing line. Tumble dryers are expensive to run, and laundry dried outside smells so much better.

Please do not get confused. Our meals are breakfast, lunch and dinner. Just because some people say Tea when they mean dinner it does not mean it is correct or general with everybody. The evening meal is dinner.

In the U.S., some areas refer to the mid-day meal as dinner and the evening meal as supper. I believe when times were more agricultural, the mid-day meal was the biggest meal of the day to sustain people for the rest of the day's work. In England, aren't most desserts referred to as "pudding" when speaking generally?

Yes, pudding is considered the correct term by middle class people in England when they are referring to the sweet course.

Maybe the washer machine is in the kitchen because it's convenient to build when it come to water lines and plumbing 🤔 Also I don't know if this is just in the US but we use a lot of explanation points... Especially woman. My husband says it's funny like "why is everyone shouting"? It's become a use for excitment or emotion like, Thank you!!! Or, See you soon!!!

Four seasons in one day? That's just Monday, the other 6 days are even worse, seriously, it can go from 70degrees to 40degrees. Remembering a June day in the 80's, went to work at 8 o'clock in jeans and T shirt, at midday it started snowing, at 3 o'clock it was 6 inches deep. The next day I wrapped up in warm clothes and was shedding layers as the day went on, at going home time it was jeans and T shirt again.

Hi Ysis, Royal warrant....it's possible that the royal family have never used, or eaten, products that are branded as such! They have something in the order of 200 staff, so many things will be used for them.... The Queen wears underwear by 'Rigby and Peller', but I doubt she will wear Brazilian style panties....lol Because it's such an emotive subject, many people will know that you can state that you never watch a TV as you only watch You Tube videos, and they might sulk, but they can't challenge it! True, a 'fortnight' is a strange historical statement, when you consider it, but I am sure that other countries will have some expressions that are unique to them, that they don't consider so unusual! For instance the Americans who want to abbreviate every word they can, but still call 'tights', 'pantyhose' ! An Elizabethan expression, with three syllables, instead of one! x
