I am a retired lawyer, living in Yorkshire but my parents were both Welsh and I went to university in Cambridge. I would say you definitely speak English with a Received Pronunciation (ie the "standard English accent" typically used by educated middle class professionals particularly those coming from the South East of England, and heard on the BBC, also sometimes called Oxford English). With a delightful slight Welsh lilt. Nobody would guess you were anything other than a native speaker of British English.

As a British person, with my first language obviously being British English this is really interesting! The whole R rules seems really odd but makes sense. Completely understand why English is so hard to learn, glad it’s my first language! Your accent is lovely and wouldn’t know you’re speaking a second language; I mean this as a compliment 😁

OMG, I had so much fun watching this video! I’m also a Brazilian and I’ve lived in the UK (mostly London) for 14 years now. And I absolutely love the British accent (in the way you are showing it) I just wanted to say you are very good and funny! I’ll be recommending your videos to my nephew who is learning English in Brazil and sounds terribly American at the mo! 🤣 Glad I found you! 🎊

different areas, and different generations, and different " classes " which continually changes a time goes by. on the BBC news they usually use an accent which all English speaking people will understand. over 50 years ago, a French man said ".parlez-vous anglais " to my mum, at a railway station,, why did he say " do you speak English " in French.

Whenever I try to omit the r instead of sounding british it feels more like a stereotypical non-specific African tribesman accent you hear in movies/games.

It's about the surroundings buddy. On the tarrace, if cool breeze is blowing in the evening, even 35℃ of India feels cool and refreshing but when you are in a room with no ventilation like this one, it feels hot if temperature is over 25℃.
