in regards to the Auto-RP, I believe you should always leave PIM interfaces in sparse mode and use the "ip pim auto-rp forward listen". Instructor seems to suggest interfaces should be sparse-dense as norm and you can optionally use "ip pim auto-rp forward listen" if you get told in Lab exam that interfaces need to stay in sparse mode. Brilliant mcast explanation btw

One point which is not quite clear for me in the video is that how a route knows there is client or not on downstream in dense mode before it does pruning.

Once rp creates shared tree and source tree, then r10 started to build its own route to source as it has s,g state would that shared tree created still exist ?

thanks a lot man! you might want to consider renaming the title to this with keywords relating to the new CCNP. i believe you are getting a lot of new traffic here because this has been added to the curriculum

Is "s,g join" request unicast ? what are the source and destination IPs R6 uses to send this "s,g join" ? Similarly for *,g when source is not yet there what request is sent to rp? and does rp get *,g state?
