Trooper's Report:
On Saturday, April 20, 2024, at approximately 8:31 pm, I was traveling westbound on United States Interstate 40 near the 216
mile marker, when I observed a red Ford Fusion displaying AR (APT20N) which returned to a white Land Rover. I initiated a
traffic stop on the vehicle for having fictitious tags.
After I activated my emergency equipment to conduct a traffic stop, the vehicle failed to yield and continued traveling
westbound on United States Interstate 40 at speeds upward of 120 mph changing lanes multiple times, and almost striking a
vehicle in the slow lane near the 212-mile marker.
Due to the reckless driving of the vehicle a Tactical Vehicle Intervention (TVI) was performed near the 211-mile marker. The
driver was able to regain control of the vehicle and continued traveling westbound on United States Interstate 40 accelerating to
speeds over 115 mph. A second TVI was attempted near the 210-mile marker but was unsuccessful. The vehicle accelerated
to speeds over 120 mph traveling westbound. Near the 209-mile marker, a third TVI was successful, and the vehicle was
disabled.
A felony takedown was conducted to remove the driver and passenger from the vehicle. The driver was then identified as Jalesha Muldrew, the front seat passenger was Cordelro Low, an infant 9 months old, and
a toddler 3 years of age in the backseat. The driver was placed under arrest without further incident and transported to the
Brinkley Police Department Detention Facility.
Department of Human Services was contacted due to the children being present. The front-seat passenger was also released
without any charges.
Both children were released to the grandmother.
