Heck yea weve been running 670 H.O.'s in our 85 honda odyssey fl350s for a while now. Also the other engines from that era 583s, 617s and regular 670s. Great engines.

I bet the rings and exhaust ports didn't love it. Cold reaving a two stroke forces the rings to expand to quickly and they catch the exhaust port. Scratches the cylinder and can actually snap the ring off

I love these two stroke triples . brings childhood memories right up. I grew up with these things when these were new and finest tech. when I was 15 I got a yamaha srx 140 hp 700cc triple and a 130 hp sxr. then later the last two stroke a 120 hp sxviper. then due to climate change no more snow no more sleds

We have a snowmobile with that motor and that motor is a beast especially for a 670cc. The sled does 118 mph. That go kart is going to be scary quick when it's done

Oh man I feel so sorry for Ike! I can see how much he wanna work...and he can't....for a mechanic its the hardest when he cant help. 2 years ago I had an eye injury and get blindfolded for 2 weeks... nothing to do in this time...listen to the tv or radio and sittin in a chair while living as a single... and the guys at the garage had so much work. well Ike I really feel your pain man. get well soon dude! only the best for you guys

I feel your pain Isaac, both physical and mental. Wanting to get stuck in, but being injured and not fully able. But at least yours is relatively short term, I was injured in a vehicle accident and some of the injuries are life long. It's so frustrating thinking I'll just then remembering oh I can't.

Two stroke go carts are by far the most fun. I had a friend with 2 racing engines on his, you could drift it at 30mph...top speed around 85 mph...

You guys are nuts!!! This thing is going to be stupid fast. Please wear safety gear when you drive this thing. I would have put a triangle of 1/4" plate on the frame to locate the top of the jack shaft mount. Also John to the rescue on turning that jack shaft. Kudos John!!

You can use a thick nylon cutting board and cut strips out and mount it to a bar and spring to make easy chain tensioners and chain guides .

4 wheel disk brakes are a must. 440 2 stroke on a custom trike was a death trap 40 years ago, this is much faster guaranteed.

Sled carbs are tuned for very cold temps. Maybe get some bike carbs. I have used the PWK knockoff carbs off of Amazon. Replace the jets with keihin jets, and they work great.

Wow, you guys did what I have been wanting to using a great engine pic. I have two Rotax 670's I have harvested for the same purpose. They are amazing engines. Their power per size is unmatched, and with amazing reliability. Nice work on choice and ideas. Can't wait for the drive vid!

When referring to snowmobile clutches, the clutch attached to the PTO shaft of the engine is called the “primary”. The driven clutch is referred to as the “secondary”
