I think setting the dash on the Tuono to nightmode helps a lot with how slick it looks. The background in nightmode is black, with white numbers etc, and red accents. It fits the colorscheme of the bike completely, and night or day, the visibility is always great. As soon as my own Tuono switched to nightmode for the first time automatically in a tunnel, I looked if I could change it permanently. Easy to find, and I've never changed it back. I have no clue why Aprilia has chosen to go with the white greyish scheme to start with.

Owned a KTM Adventure S and hated its quirky electronics and never trusted it, then an MT10 and disliked its fuel range but loved how it rode, and now own a Aprilia Tuono V4 and wow! Everything about it is amazing. I just hope it stays reliable and this to has poor fuel range due to my throttle abuse. But the way that Aprilia performs is truly awesome.

I currently have a 2018 Superduke 1290 and a 2019 Tuono Factory. The Superduke has the titanium Akrapovic plus every single option from the Powerparts catalogue. The Tuono has the Akrapovic and that’s about it. I’ve had about 50 bikes over the years, including an R1M, shitloads of Aprilia’s, R1s, RC8s etc etc. Both bikes now are the best I’ve ever had. I thought the Tuono would overshadow the 1290 with its semi active suspension, but the KTM holds its own. That enormous shove down low in the revs is outrageous. Yet the sound the V4 makes is ridiculous. I’m just lucky as fuck to have both in my garage.

I just bought a new 22 Tuono, but I went with the standard model because I found the Factory handlebars too low for me and my 60 year old wrists. @@luckyleo88 the aprilia is hands own a must own bike, it does everything you want it to do and handles like a dream. The Ducati Is an incredible bike but you need to keep something in mind, the reliability is a real issue, and the service can be a nightmare on the Ducati. I’ve ridden both and I would choose the aprilia, it sounds better, is more raucous down low, and is considerably cheaper than the duc.
@Ta3kno

Which one would you consider to be the best daily banger? Budget wise I'm leaning towards on used Super Duke or an MT-10. Tuono is the wet dream out of the three though, too expensive brand new and impossible to find second hand. Somehow I also feel it's a bit too tight for a daily bike and for occasional longer cruises. Also not so sure about the Italian reliability. I've ridden both SD and the MT and comfort / useability-wise I would ever so slightly lean towards the Yammy. I just don't like the looks of the MT. I've heard the 790 / 890 Dukes have had some reliability issues, don't know how things are with the SD. I'm coming from an MT-09 which I've found to be the perfect daily banger, dead reliable the Yammies are though which I like...
@Critastic
@Critastic 2 жыл бұрын
@@Ta3kno best daily banger is the mt10 hands down, lively enough and very reliable. The aprilia is the best bike out of the three IMO, but it is a bit cramped compared to the duke and Yamaha. Aprilia has become much more reliable, I put 25,000 miles on my Tuono and it never gave me any trouble, but you definitely pay more for servicing. The best value is the mt10 for sure, the best bike is the aprilia haha.

I liked both engines the same, couldn’t pick between for the roads both have heaps of power! With the KTM reliability wasn’t mentioned, my mate bought a brand new KTM 1290 and it got called back in 3 times in the first couple of months for electrical faults through summer so he gave it back! Really put me off owning one. It’s one thing thinking about which ones the most fun for a weekend hoon but another from an ownership/reliability and cost of up keep stand point! The Aprilia was good, and I loved the sound, but I've got one dealer within 800kms and they've gone through a bunch of fly-by-nights that disappeared. There's 3 KTM dealers within 10-20 km of me. Coming from Japanese sports bikes I was worried about reliability on both of them, but so far it's been apples.

I enjoyed this.. I have a V4S at the moment, love it, but age is creeping up on me and my body has some wear and tear, so been thinking more and more about a naked bike.. For me it would be a choice between the Tuono or the the Super Duke...

I sold my Tuono V4 and bought a Superduke because the Tuono was cramped and wasn't practical. Now I wish I still had my cramped, impractical, glorious scalpel-like V4.

You won't regret it, great bikes the Mt10!!.. I really enjoy mine!. Bought a new 1290 and had nothing but hassle with it, fuel leaks, coolant leaks etc... Yamaha have made an affordable reliable street bike with mega performance!. I've had no issues with mine. Ktm can keep their 1290.👍🏻

As a 22 mt10 sp owner I can tell that the problems 44 teeth mentioned with the bike are still there. And at the time of my purchase I can have these 3 for pretty much the same price, but I still picked the mt for 1 reason, reliability. As a road bike the last thing I want would be a break down in the mid of nowhere.

I need some advice from you guys. I tested the speed triple 1200 rs and love everthing but finding neutral. Only looked at the tuono v4 factory in the showroom. In the springtime, I plan on buying one of the two bikes. Ktm is off the list as I owned a tl1000r for 16 years and want someone other then a twin. This will be a street bike. Having trouble deciding. (I'm 6'01" 160 lbs and fit on any bike well)

Between the Speed triple RS at 14.1k, MT-10 at 12.3k, Super Duke Evo at 17.6k or the Tuono V4 non-factory at 14.1k which would you choose with the following criteria/info: No track riding, mostly 2 and 4 lane roads (1 each way or 2 each way) good 60-120mph and having only 2 Aprilia dealers within a 2 hour ride away. I'm leaning towards the MT-10 and Speed Triple.

I love these shootouts and it's actually quite amazing that you get a hold on these bikes while every dealer is running low on stock (atleast over here in the Netherlands). Adding the S1000R, 1200RS and the V4 SF (if they're not being lil' bitches about the tyres) would really spice things up. I'm very curious about the conclusion with the 'full pack' of Super Nakeds. Then again, this is great. You guys always make me smile, almost as much as the nice lady does at @3:58

I had the KTM and the V4S, now I just have the KTM... none of these bikes complement each other, owning more than one is pointless when you can add a tourer, adventure, track bike, etc.

I’d actually seen these guys at devils bridge when being filmed when delivering training. Owning both the 2022 V4 Aprilia and KTM Evo. Hands down the KTM is now the better bike. Aprilia, feels cheap and plastic. It handles so well but it doesn’t have the same build quality as the previous year. However it does handle better and the sound with the akra can and map is fab. But it’s dated! The KTM add the akra titanium system at extra 2.5k and it’s brings out the inner child and is great town bike and smooth and a playful flickable toy as soon as your on some twisting roads. The Bluetooth connectivity links fab to your phone and intercom. No issues at all with the quick shifter etc, the performance pack is a must. So the bike your spending 21k it’s then the supernaked it’s top of the tree. It’s sublime, however I still track a Tuono!
