03:14 "i don't dislike you anymore" is correct if you think about it. RM used to "dislike" haters, maybe he even hated them in return, but now he doesn't dislike them anymore, he doesn't care about them, he is above them. So he doesn't spend his energy on disliking "haters"

And the opposite of like/love is not disliked/hate it's "indifference" (he doesn't care about their existence anymore ( one has to exist to show them any kind of emotions)

Maybe it's cuz Yoongi seems like such an unassuming person off stage vs his beast mode on stage. The first few times I saw their live videos, he seemed like a completely different person to me. Same with hobi but from a different point of view. Like he seemed so different from the smiley bright guy i saw in interviews. Namjoon was the least surprising one cuz I had already gotten a taste of his aura from other stuff.

To the guy on the right, (forgot your name, sorry!) It's okay to say when you don't like a song lol I sensed some hesitation. We all have our favorites and our least favorites! Not every song is gonna resonate the same and that's true for all of us. As long as you say your opinion respectfully, we're not gonna just attack you.😂 (and for the ones that do, that's not okay) But it's true that sometimes the live performances just hit different. A lot of songs weren't my favorite/style until I watched some live performances, now I like the songs lol. Anyways that's just some advice I would give. Be confident in your opinion just be respectful about it! Most of us are adults here aren't we? 😂💜💜

I've been watching the reaction for a few days now, and I have the impression that the guy on the right (in the black blouse) doesn't really like BTS, it's okay, and as you said yourself "no disrespect". BTS is not his style, ok, it's ok, so stop making BTS reaction and do what you like.

"But it's true that sometimes the live performances just hit different." For me, that was "Home". I don't know why I didn't like it, but it certainly was NOT one of my favorites! Literally listened when the album arrived, once, and then never again. Then... BTS Week - Jimmy Fallon I saw that song in a whole new light and it's been on the top of every one of my BTS playlists ever since!

They're called ARMY Bombs. It looks like this lol: 🔎They are light sticks that is connected via bluetooth. They light up and change colors and production controls them to match each song. Sometimes they make it light up to spell things too. It's basically a light show. It makes ARMY part of the boys' performance as well. Each ARMY usually has one in the concert (you can buy it online or in the merch booth before going in the stadium). This is also a way for the boys to see each and every ARMY even if they are far up the stands.💜

Those little stops Suga does are because people still to this day claim that BTS doesn't sing/rap live, so Suga, some times Jin, RM ,actually one way or another all 7 members have done something to prove that they are live. They don't always do it, but you know, just sometimes. Are you guys going to react to BTS other genre? Because BTS awards shows performance are fantastic! They are phenomenal productions.

"bae" could also be a contraction of sunbae/sunbaenim- a term u would use for artists who came first than you in the industry. Their seniors, who looked down on them, some they were friends with, rappers who criticized them as sell outs when they mainly Suga and RM became Idols

@@soyothedanny we didnt say it was a word. We said that, considering the huge ammount of wordplay used by RM, especially the interlanguage homonyms (theres a better word but i dont remember it right now), its not out of the question that he meant it both ways, for "sorry bae" in english to sound like "sunbae" in korean. Someone who has the time could point out the other instances when it happened in their lyrics, there are a few even outside the "Daeng" track.

those "orbs" armys are holding are called army b0mbs, and they're bts' official lightstick (every kpop group has their own lightstick, unique to represent them and their fans), it's almost mandatory to bring them to concerts or any other live performances, and they're sold along with merch outside the venues 😊 recently armys made everyone curious after j-hope's lollapalooza performance, since they never saw people bring "glowing orbs" for an artist before lol

They were singing Mic Drop 🎤 at the time...such a befitting song to put haters in their place 🤭

LOL, It's absolutely okay not to like some of their songs, but the whole time you were listening to the lyric video I was yelling "Listen to it LIVE!!!" So I'm VERY happy that you did. They just hit different when they are live. And you are right about Suga, he loves his dramatic pauses and plays to the crowd when they are live. I was at the SOFI LA concerts and Suga was definately a crowd favorite!! The lights you are asking about are light sticks called Army Bombs. We buy them from WeVerse and bring them to the concerts and then they sync up with bluetooth so that the colors and the flashing are all coordinated. BTS even has them spell out words in the crowd, like BTS and ARMY.

Great reaction! I understand what you guys meant about the difference between Cypher 4 and the other Cyphers. This one is really slow paced and not that rap heavy but I really love this one because it's so different from the others and it shows their talent without "showing off". In this Cypher, they don't feel the need to get back at the haters because they know their worth and aren't wasting their time on them anymore. If I may suggest a song and performance to react to next: - 1 VERSE by J-Hope - J-Hope's Lollapalooza performance (1 hour but so worth it, trust me. I've watched it 6 times already) Feel free to ignore it but that is one of my favourite underrated hobi songs 😊

ARMY bombs (it’s a thing from the kpop world, which you will see slowly being intergrated into western artists’ concert - e.g. Coldplay and Bad Bunny wristbands). They are connected via Bluetooth. They change colour (they make light shows out of them at concerts, write things with them in the crowd etc.). We also connect through online and live streamed concerts. I love the live cypher medley from 2017 - that concert is probably one of my favorites!! That, Wembley second day, 2016 KYNK epilogue and of course Brazil (brazilian ARMY is just WOW!). Unfortunately the whole thing is always taken down from yt (can only be found on fb and Dailymotion), but she was able to mix it with fancams, so you kinda get the atmosphere. Cypher 4 is for me amazing live (I prefer it live too). However, when you think about the lyrics and What they’re saying, this style of cypher makes so much sense. It oozes self confidence, swag and self love - being so amazing even laid back that they don’t need to show off. It’s the Ultimate flex really!😂🔥🔥 I’d love to see a reaction to “Hip Hop phile” live. I’m wondering if you’d be into seeing something completely different (and likely not your preference, but just to get an idea of How Wide their range of styles are)? E.g. “Magic Shop” in shing Black suits - it’s a song for ARMY, for when the low point becomes unbearable and you need a comfortable escape. Magic Shop is a term used in psychotherapy.

RM and J-Hope are very much "ah, we're gonna live our great lives and just not waste any time on haters" while Suga is "...yeah, I got a few more things to say" 😆 This one is definitely more of a vibe, what with the whole audience screaming "I love myself!" along with the rap line. It may not be a diss track like the first three but it sure is a flex!

Ddaeng is my fave rap line song. The Suga pause is in response to haters saying they always lip sync. That's why the chuckle. I love the Cyphers' f@ck you to idc about you, I love myself. 3 things that make the live cypher medley more awesome: First, SUGA was sick that day and you can hear his nasal voice a lot, but he slayed so HARD that day, it's memorable. They did the wings Tour with live music on the BG, not only tracks, and that makes every performance on the show go even harder. The wings tour had 40 shows and more than half a million people seeing them live. Just the final show dates (from which this cypher medley is) had more than 60K attendants, and the tickets were sold out in less than 2 hours.

Haha when you said that Suga was going to do the same as the others, I smirked. We say in the fandom that when they decided to do a more chill vibe for that cypher, Suga obviously didn't get that memo XD Suga is one of my two biases (the other one is Jimin) and he's the one that made me start appreciating rap. He goes so hard and you just feel the passion and raw emotion in his voice. Especially in the songs 'The Last' and 'First Love'. Those two give me goosebumps every single time. 'The Last' is such an impactful song. Suga has overcome a lot of hardships in his life. I struggle with some things he's struggled with too (depression, anxiety) and to know that he was able to conquer that is a true inspiration for me. It gives me hope.

i always took jhopes “i’ll reveal my aspirations, im above the minors” line as him saying he gives people their credit when their due. they have a whole song “hip hop lover/phile” where he literally lists the artists he looked up to when he was first starting off n how it shaped him to be the man n rapper he is today. some rappers refuse to do that, even now. his next line continues the bar cause he says something about him being a major now. aka yea the big leagues so to speak but also, it connects the words minor n major :))

Yes, suga is such a charismatic performer! cypher pt.4 is more of a layback track, with a purpose to put an end to the cypher series with the message that bts are so above everyone else now that spending their time “clapping back” to the haters is just beneath them. the song came out in 2016 when bts were already outdoing other kpop groups and started gaining even more popularity at the west. they basically said they’re now focusing on themselves and their own growth as people and musicians, hence the “love myself” line, and the ironic “hater you should love yourself” message that mocks people who spend their time hating on bts instead of doing something productive for themselves lol. they showed their maturity with this song and i think it encapsulates the cyphers perfectly. as for the lights in the audience - those are called “army bombs”. they are lightsticks that you connect to your phone via bluetooth, put in the number of your seat and together everyone create beautiful scenery and a light show depending on a song and it’s beat. army bombs are one of the reasons why bts concerts look so amazing and are really a special experience. i really want to see you guys react to more bts live performances with all seven of them, especially medleys. they are so fun!

"please stay healthy," suga said. but he already said before that health is all those hiphop con artists are left with (no talent, no fame, no success, not much going on for them)... honestly, if someone told me that, i'd be more hurt than hearing someone curse at me. lol that's a light stick and the army's light stick is called an army bomb. ;) we buy that and bring it to concerts/performances. it's hard to acquire but well, an army wants an army bomb. haha i've been in 2 bts concerts and they're fuckin magical onstage. ngl, not cos i'm fangirling... as a matter of fact, i lowkey was scared to be disappointed cos it took me a year to secure tickets... a year of trying for asian countries (i live in asia). but i got tickets for LA thru a cousin i begged to get me. hahahaha anyway, these guys have crazy stage presence and the energy exchange between bts and army is something i've never experienced in my life. it was overwhelmingly great! their voices are also so fuckin crystal clear, it's nuts! i just wanna go to one again if i get lucky.

j-hope when he writes plays with sound a lot too. It's crazy because he doesn't have a reputation for it but his verses really are the most layered and complex. Our translators say he's always the hardest to translate for and he's so referential (to like really random or obscure things and to his past verses) and he swaps out a lot of words for sounds that also mean something else that's contextually connected to the verse...it's so complicated. And I won't get into it but the Korean language has different syntax rules than us and they don't have to include as many details (like tense, subject, particles, pronouns) in each sentence and j-hope often drops a lot of that stuff leaving translators to catch references and infer meaning from what's essentially a word cloud of nouns, verbs, and adjectives (any number of which may be referring to something else or present a play on words). I spend more time with his lyrics than anyone's. I remember there was this hit tweet a couple of years ago that said "j-hope's verses are nonsense but they slap" and the examples the poster gave actually had a ton of wordplay and references and onomatopoeia that they just didn't think to look for. I'm saying this bc one of you mentioned the use of a homophone and I thought that was good catch. j-hope knows how to make people move so catchy rhythms, catchy melodies, catchy SOUNDS are always present in his music. His bars just SOUND GOOD. But just an FYI, there's a ton of substance in those good sounding bars too.

That's totally okay to not feel this song, honestly there are a lot of BTS songs that take me a few or 10 listens to actually vibe with the song and this song I still think I would personally skip. I really enjoy it live though, their preformances and stage presence and energy really bring a lot to the table for me and if I don't vibe with a song usually the live preformance does it for me. And if you still don't feel a song that's okay! There's 400+ BTS out there, there's bound to be ones you don't like. And you've barely scratched surface. Thank you for your reaction! We want honest opinions, not a fake reaction. I personally don't want things sugarcoated. But it's still brave of you to put out your honest opinions about the song since people are open to criticism about it, no matter the subject matter. Keep up the videos and be yourselves in your videos, I love the BTS musical journey you guys are going on so far.

They are light sticks called “Army Bombs”. You get them paired with your seat when you arrive at concert. They change colors according to the songs and spell out things! Experiencing their concert with one was amazing!

Nothing is better than BTS performing live. If you're watching them live and thinking if they're lip-syncing,.. they're not. They're used to dancing and jumping around as they sing/rap and it sounds better than the studio version. And if you don't mind me repeating, ARMY are holding the official BTS lightsticks which are called ARMY BOMB. You do have to purchase it to get one but they are connected via bluetooth at their concerts. They will be in control of the colors and how it flashes during concerts.

My apologies if this gets long winded but y'all seem genuinely interested in learning about our guys so here goes. The kpop industry has always had "props" for fans to show their appreciation such as color coded balloons, noisemakers, and lightsticks/glow sticks. So a 2nd generation group leader (GD of Big Bang💛) designed a customized crown shaped lightstick for the fandom. It is now the norm for every groups to have their unique lightstick which also have specific names, shapes and upgrades. It usually follows a theme based on the groups name or concept. Some groups go as far as to include the fans suggestions and input aswell.. With 3rd generation, namely BTS 💜 Wings Tour era came more changes to the lightstick (called Army Bomb ) They have color changing and even Bluetooth capability which is pretty much an industry standard.. Hope this helps you guys understand a little. I know it's alot to process, and there's a huge number of amazing kpop groups you have yet to discover. Best of luck and thanks for your reaction.

BTS is so real. Artists who speak only and only with their music. Even when BTS was unpopular and popular when these songs came out, a lot of things happened. They were exposed to so much as they climbed up. It is impossible to describe those times now. I can't even explain. All these songs are connected with those times. There were times when I saw BTS 730+ times 365 days a year. They worked so hard that it was possible to see them at their schedule every single day. They worked hard as if a day were not 24 hours. We also struggled with the difficulties they experienced and the attempts to pull them down from the industry dominated by the big 3 (yes, we did it together. It was like a war every day. The industry and power were terrible.) They did but how? That was so hard. I hope you will also shoot the reaction video of BTS' journey. There is so much content that I don't know which one I want. Thank you for reaction

My two cents is 4 is them saying they are above the haters just bigger than it all no need to clap back except Suga didn’t get the memo and was still hella passed and had more things to say. The Cypher medley Suga was pretty sick running a fever and you can hear his congestion and still went that hard for a whole show. He’s even more intense in other lives of just Cypher 4 but they still killed it. I’d suggest Not Today next.

People have told you about Army Bomb, the light sticks, but just a little insight, in kpop every group has their own light sticks, at the very beginning (when the number of kpop groups aren't as many as now) they're just shaped like a stick, no special design or anything, however each kpop groups has their own official colors so different group light sticks will glow different colors according to their official colors. Nowadays since there's too many groups debuting, it's hard to assign an official color to each group so now the light sticks are specially designed to match each group, hahah... Also the light sticks nowadays have bluetooth connection and can light up different colors controlled by the concert staff so the concert can be more hyped. It's always so pretty to see the ocean of light sticks in the concert crowd. I hope you'll react to more BTS' live performances as well so you can see more of the ocean of "bombs".

BTS are performers who belong on stage. They have quite a few songs that really come to life when performed. That being said, their studio production is incredible, with lots of different layers to the songs, which you can actually only catch with great headphones and great audio quality. Also, I think it's OK not to be crazy about every song right from the beginning. Sometimes you need to be in a certain mood for a certain song. Obviously, it's more likely for fans to come back to songs and discover and appreciate them over time, which explains why sometimes we as fans have a different perspective.

Would be interesting to see you react to something completely different. I saw someone mention 'Magic Shop', which is a great pick. I'd also throw 'Mikrokosmos' in the same boat. You can find live performances with eng sub, they hit different than just watching a lyrics video. If you want music videos instead then maybe 'Black Swan' or 'Blood, Sweat and Tears'. Both are absolute works of art. Looking forward to more reactions from you two🙏💜

I was not really a big fan of cy4 but that "repeat value" is great and that one line "yo! player, hater you should love yourself! brr!" is so satisfying (you have to not have a goal in life, and hate yourself so much that you have the time and will power to sh*t on someone else hard work) after understanding that made the song awesome ✨

I saw you guys do other artist reactions and I would like to recommend one Korean rap artist that I am sure you will appreciate, 1000% sure that you will love it. Please be prepared to be mind blown by this video : the Killing Verse of JUSTHIS (which is snippets of his songs). A bit underground but you will see that JUSTHIS is a rap genius. Again, thank you 💜
