Looking back at this, part of me thinks someone at Infinity Ward watched this movie and got inspired to the point where it gave us the Urzikstan Embassy mission from MW19

@@JasonLopezII I absolutely believe that embassy mission was inspired by this 100 percent

A lot of the MW missions were inspired by popular Hollywood movies like The Rock, Red Dawn, and Sicario to name a few.
I agree. The first war movie that broke my heart and made me cry. But mostly made me proud of the men and women who serve our country and put their lives on the line

Rone and Jack are my favorite characters but no one beats Tanto for his humor, the funny dance and that even if he’s a joker he’s a legit badass and him carrying that SAW and using it while only wearing t shirt and shorts with his tactical gear is so cool but also humorous (since they had to put on their gear over what they were wearing, also the actor who played such a despicable human in svu portrayed such a genuine, kind and funny guy) seeing these men especially Rone passing away was hard, I can’t imagine how his son found out what happened to his father, also his teammate screaming for Rone despite his arm nearly being blown off is so heart breaking, losing your brother in arms is hard for anyone Also those other special forces that came in with Doherty as we see the delta operators was quite the intro, just 2 guys beards, long hair, both look like marathon runners, worn equipment with a swagger definitely delta force

Holy shit. This movie is being discussed. I love this movie, saw it with my older brother back in 2016, and we totally didn’t know what we were in for. Just saw “Michael Bay” and thought it was gonna be rad, and it was, but also emotional. My favorite is Max Martini as Oz, dude played him great. Like, dude didn’t take shit from the hot angry French woman, understands everyone’s dislike for the chief, but got to know the guy personally, I think, so he doesn’t give him too much crap, and dude WALKED to the medical bay, arm hanging from flesh, and told others that someone else, not able to walk, needed help. Damn, I typed a lot. But yeah, great movie.

I appreciate the historical precedent that this event echos. I mean just the fact that the attacks on the annex and complex happened on September 11th, the coordinated attacks seemed to be planned to work as extra salt on the wound.

I liked this movie a lot, but it was difficult to understand location, especially when the team left the annex to get to the embassy and then ultimately the airfield. Where are they in relation to each other? How far does the QRF have to go to reach them? When the team has to improvise movement, what shift occurs? The stakes and pace were excellent, but I felt lost following the team as they moved
