Another great video!🙂 My top three tips are... 1. Little and often - I'd rather do one load of laundry a day than save it all for the weekend. 2. One touch - I put stuff away as I go. 3. Prepare in advance - I prep as much as possible the night before which saves so much time in the morning. Your new house is lovely btw. Xx

When I'm feeling overwhelmed with the house I take photos of the rooms from all angles and then look at them from the point of view of someone coming to visit. We are blind to our own messes sometimes, so for example a cup left on the fireplace all day or overnight, post that isn't dealt with, broken child's toy put on the side to fix etc. Are all things I could leave all day or longer and "forget" but seeing the room in photos makes me look as if it's someone else looking at it. Xx

Your tips are the best! What helps me to keep the house clean a lot is: -Doing laundry everyday - Organising all of my cabinets at least once a month so I can throw things away, or store them properly - I don’t wait untill the house is really messy, but I clean everything right away, also, I try to use the “one touch” method, that helps a lot

The one touch method can be used for anything especially the mail coming in and sorting/ paying/ dealing with them right away. Whenever we put something off it becomes much bigger than it actually is in the first place. Sometimes it only takes under a minute! My kids implement putting their things away in this manner so nothing gets done until the thing they are using is completely put away before going to the next thing. I liked the craft basket idea one basket for these items. I use the method of getting rid of things before buying something new, or evaluating whether I need The new item by looking at everything I already own and how many. Having a certain space only for those items is a great idea! I love the canvas bags for clothes seasonal items and so on. Still need some help getting everything a place, but following these ideas- including taking a picture right before organizing, even sending it to a friend motivated us sometimes! Thankyou Emily for so many new ideas! You’re always a down to earth realistic person we can be inspired by and you make the goals within reach! Stay safe yourself too! May God be with you and family!

I'm going to implement the "block the clutter zone with something " idea. In my house any flat surface is fair game for dumping. My tidy up secrets? Clean up as I go, pick up and put away, vacuum and be vigilant to reorganize spaces that aren't working. I clear out and donate regularly. Decluttering and tidying are ongoing processes. Thank you so much for videos like this one! Inspiring and motivating!

Thanks for you videos i´ve been watching you channel for a long time now i think i was starting watching your channel when my first baby was around 8 months or so :) we have a one year old and a two year old so most of the cleaning is done after we put them to bed. Tidy up their toys , cleaning the kitchen ready for the next day and then the robotvaccum takes over when where are almost done. The robotvaccum really was a savior for us and what we can achieve while the kids are asleep.

Such a motivating video Emily! My tips that I live by are mainly from you! Including “if it’s only going to take you 5/10 minutes to just get it done” “if it hasn’t been worn or used in the last 12 months to bin/charity shop it”. Everything in my house has a label! 🤣 it makes everything look so much more satisfying 🤣I might even label my other half....I’ve got a very fitting label in mind 🤔🤣🔞 Jokes aside! I love your videos, and they’ve really helped me to keep on top of my LIFE and housework whilst being a new mummy! I’m only 21 and have a 13 month old so it isn’t always easy to keep the house clean and organised and keep up with ‘self care’ (whatever that is😬🤣) but your videos make it a lot easier - Thankyou ! 💗

These are all fabulous tips! I am crazy about towels - bath, hand, kitchen - but I can only have as many kitchen towels as will fit in one deep drawer in the kitchen, and only as many bath and hand towels as fit on the designated shelf in the linen closet. This works wonders for managing clutter AND it also has a positive impact on my budget. If I can't store it, I don't buy it.

I do this one touch and make my boys do it...even the hubby’s learning!...everything has a place, I roll everything up in mine and boys drawers... I want to start the label thing too..ooh also TOMM’s rule ( the organised mum method...she’s fab ) always recommends doing just half hr i think... a day, so it doesn’t get on top of you. I also clean as I go along xxx❤️😊

Hi Emily, I have 2 clean habits that I do every morning. They are both quick and easy but they’re game changers (in my opinion)! 1) empty the dishwasher whilst waiting the kettle to boil every morning. 2) do a wash load everyday. Wash/dry/put away. This time I year I don’t have very many items that need ironing 😁👍xx

I am going to The Container Store and to IKEA this weekend and I'm so excited! It's so funny that you posted this today because I spent most of yesterday watching a ton of your older videos with cleaning tips, organizing tips, etc. :) My favorite tip is, at the end of the day, when I'm exhausted and tired and don't want to clean up: will Morning Me of Tomorrow appreciate what Evening Me of Today did to tidy & clean? The answer is always yes. I don't want to walk out and see a messy kitchen or living space first thing in the morning. Clutter and mess is stressful. So, Evening Me of Today always cleans up for Morning Me of Tomorrow so my day will start out on the right foot. ♥

I clean / organise for a living (at least I did before Covid!) so I was nodding in agreement to all your tips. I follow Melissa Maker on KZbin (Clean My Space) and would highly recommend her for further tips. One tip I will share for my fellow Mum's out there is when you get time (lol, yeah, I know) to clean a room, view the room as a clock. Clean top to bottom (dust falls down after all) and work around the room. Don't daintily sweep crumbs off the counter, ain't nobody got time for that! Sweep all the crap into the floor, then hoover it up. My clients always say to me they marvel.how much I can get done in a two hour slot...well this is how. You're welcome.

I wish I could have only three piles when I’m decluttering: I also need a ‘selling ‘, ‘recycling’, ‘taking to the electronics shop’, ‘taking to the waste disposal centre’... on top of that all these bags always go through a bit of a quarantine in my car 🤪 the good thing is that it gets better and easier guys!! After decluttering and decluttering, and putting a lot of thought and analytical thinking in finding a place for each thing i have, I finally can spend only a few minutes decluttering one drawer, or one box that I had forgotten. I used to try the one touch rule, but it used to drive me crazy! I was spinning around home not finishing anything and switching from one thing to another. But now it’s easier because everything is tidy all the time! So I can concentrate on minor things that take less than 2 minutes. Also, Emily, one thing that helps me a lot, a part from not having lids, is having transparent containers, particularly in places where there’s a lot of dust like the garage. Checking what’s inside a box at a glance, without even opening it is very satisfying.
