I feel great about my body and I’m so proud of my fitness despite my struggles with binge eating. What’s made a difference for me has me my ongoing practice of self love.

When you talk about seeing what you want in your mind, how you want to feel etc, it's like a vision board of sorts with feelings instead of photos. It's still the same thinking of "As you think, so shall you be." The idea of finding things to be grateful for has been working so well for me lately. The exercise of being grateful, and it's not always about food or body, but any little thing I can find in my life, get's more and more easy to find things and really feel it! Changing your frame of mind. Great advice! Thank you.

When I think that I used to diet in my teens when I was a lot smaller than I am now in my 50s. I realise my problem has always been body image. Please, if you are able to, try to work on this. It could save you from years of grief! X

Can you make a video about how to cope with or accept uncomfortable emotions like sadness? They often trigger emotional eating.

Is it common for people to struggle sometimes with a lose of control around food - binge eating - and sometimes with emotional eating?
@TheBingeEatingTherapist3 жыл бұрын
Yes, there is often overlap between emotional eating and binge eating and that’s a great idea for a video 💚

Thank you for your channel! I would like to add one tip that actually works and it is a silly one. Give a body part that you are not so fond of a name of something that makes you smile. For instance if you don´t like your big toe just name it "Bertha from Sweden who likes rutabaga". Then whenever you see Bertha, tell her out loud "hello Bertha from Sweden who likes rutabaga". Who would not appriciate and accept "Bertha from Sweden who likes rutabaga"? In the end you would not want to live without "Bertha from Sweden who likes rutabaga with a newly found interrest in tap dancing". This tip also works for ugly interior pieces that your partner wants.

This video is really educational! I've been trying to research for a knowledgable KZbin video that really teaches the ideas in this vid! 👩⚕️Your explanation reminds me of the videos of Doctor Ethan. Doctor's videos are for sure educational and I actually learned a lot for my finals! He is an informative health enthusiast in the UK! I recommend you check his page out and give Dr Ethan a like! 👉 #DrEthanTips
