Thanks for the explanations. The only thing I don't understand is how you realized the quick camera pans and tracking of the spaceship. Minute 05:22 as an example.

No problem! So for the spaceships, we like to use Element 3D inside After Effects. Using that we just import a spaceship 3D model in .obj format. CGTrader is a great place to find 3D models. Then we create a camera in After Effects, and keyframe it’s movement the way we explain in the video. Just rotate the camera one way, add a keyframe, go towards the end of your clip and rotate it in a different direction. This will automatically add another keyframe. Then just right-click the keyframes and ease out of the first one, and ease into the second one if you want more control. Then you can right-click them again and change their keyframe velocity for even more control on how fast or slow the camera whips in and out of movement. Then we just animate the ship with Element 3D by moving it through space so to match the camera movement (or vice versa), whatever’s easier for you. That’s it, but if you have any other questions, let us know. And if there’s enough interest, we’ll do an entire video on how we do our space scenes!

@@FILMCRUX it would be really nice if you could drop a 3 min video explaining how you do it 🙏

@@thinklet7 We might do that! Stay tuned to the channel and if there’s enough interest we will.

Yeah I guess AI will replace everything, no need for design in the future

It won’t replace everything. Photography didn’t replace artists.

@@FILMCRUX yeah but set design is in danger! It will be just actors- light on their faces and green screen ( in 50+% of movies)

@@RedRumble14 Digital set design is already a thing in VFX and animation. Things always change and evolve. At one point, there were oil lamp lighters. Now those jobs have been replaced, and everyone went along just fine. No apocalypse. No collapse of civilization. Things just evolve, and there’s infinite stuff to do, so we’re in no danger of running out.
