I knew Martin Gould as a kid. And he was always playing pool and stuff. Great guy. Really wished my parents pushed me to do something like that. I don’t think his parents pushed him. I think it’s just what he wanted. Really happy he’s done well in snooker

How many kids out there never uncovered their talents over 101 things and not just snooker or sport, due to their lack of parental support or maybe their family's financial situation?

My dad and me were playing snooker as it were and a ball jumped out of the pocket and we got thrown out because we weren't allowed to spoil the cloth. Yet Maguire here and other pros they ruin the cloth. Anyone can make a ball jump

I saw Barry play in the b&h championship that gave a wild card to the masters back in 2000 ish in Malvern at Willy Thorne snooker club. He beat mark king and played amazing. I knew he was top draw material.

Stephen Maguire was born in March 1981. If he's 13 at the time of this broadcast, I guess it was originally aired in 1994 or so. Video quality looks better than that, though.
