Things I'd love to see in Dine Out. 1.) Longer hours of operation without the workers getting tired. I'd love to have longer restaurant gameplay. 2.) A gradual closing process. I hate how the restaurant just shuts down and customers don't get to finish their meals and workers don't clean up the mess for closing 3.) The glitch in the workers when you accidentally remove a requirement to build the restaurant. When you do that the workers are all removed and you'd have to re hire sims, re do their training, experience & pay. Super frustrating having to constantly start over! 4.) More tables and chair options 5.) More CHEFS and HOSTS!!!!

There is a gradual closing process! Click the host table/thing and choose “disallow new customers” a bit before closing :)

Totally agree! I love playing with restaurants so much but my main annoyance is that I can't make a breakfast bar that sells cheapish breakfast food without needing to get rid of staff as they get too good, and it's so hard to make money without expensive items on the menu... If they just made it so cheaper-style restaurants could be viable I would love that so much! ... Sorry for the mini passionate rant

@@PeteyPlaysIt Yesterday i tried having a restaurant on a very large lot , and the idea was to have a very formal upstairs indoor area, and the outside i had an area with lots of lights , surrounded by a pond. And then i put chefs stations, waiter and host stations on both 'sides' of the restaurant. And as you can imagine, CHAOS ensued. Chefs constantly switching between stations, waiters running up and down, hosts taking new guests to the furthest table. Maaaaaan i just wanted to play restaurants. And it sucks cause i love restaurant style games. If only this worked a lil better. And how damn hard can it be for the game developers to just to something... anything..

@@PeteyPlaysIt well you just tend at the bar. usually, a full shift tending at the bar grants more money than the restaurant itself. You can even hire a random sim to tend at the bar and her the profits from it.

@@PeteyPlaysIt same. Fam built a crazy nice three (four if you count basement, lol I forgot) level restaurant with two bars and dance floor /dj on the second floor. Customers were sat all over the world-it was nuts. I really did like the place though and decided to remove the stairs on the first floor to make it cozier w/o demo work-solved with your two table instead of large one too. I left the lower level and it works nicely with the pool keeping customers happy. I was even surprised to see that my waitresses tended bar (found that I could too instead of hiring someone). Once it gets high up there in ratings going to put the stairs back in & see if they like the DJ/ dance floor or if it’s a nuisance. Finding it a bit annoying that I can’t immediately prioritize food or offer things to any customer I see getting antsy especially celebs now that I added get famous. Is that just me? Also if you happen to know: Can your restaurant throw a holiday party like New Year’s Eve? This evening I tried to fulfill NYE requirements while running the restaurant & it worked somewhat. I just started playing dine out this week, so far so good, the only bug I’ve seen is waiters sometimes leave dirty dishes on the tables instead of taking them to the station or putting them in the dishwasher and my sim has had to step in and bus the dishes while welcoming new customers, but having worked in real life food service that seems legit to me, when you get a lunch or a dinner rush, it’s all hands on deck and the dishes can pile up fast. I have not been tearing my hair out or experiencing severe problems

at the beginning, all went just fine. but after quite sometime, instead of taking seats, the customers just talk to each other after entering the restaurant. i've followed the requirements (like min. dining spots and stuff), welcome the customer and yet they still talk, not taking any seats. is this my mistake or some minor bug?

Sadly Dine Out is a rather buggy game pack. I would try restarting the game, and if that doesn't work I would try moving around the host station to different spots. Sorry I can't be more help!

Hi i had the same problem and this is a bug. The only way i found to fix this is with cheating. You can reset for example the cook. After that he walks in the restaurant and do his work. But this problem show up everytime and day ingame and i can't let the restaurant alone...

How do you train your employees ? I’m playing on PS4

So I'm on PC but I think it would be the same! When you're open and your employee is working, click on them and select 'Manage' and then 'Pay for training' and then select what level of training (it's usually based on their skill levels). They actually go to training when you close so you don't actually train them so to speak, and the main thing you'll notice is their skills will get a boost when they finish work next.

Is there any Tip to Run a Restaurant from Home? Everytime I do this, I won't get customers and the Profit is Not even 10% of that what I get when I visit the Restaurant myself. I also got every perk but this didn't fix anything

my problem is that my host won't seat all the customers, just maybe 2 or 3 per day but everyone else just crowd around the host podium and he just stands there doing nothing. The customers eventually leave. I trained him to max and paid him well. there is nothing I can do. I cannot assign him tasks. Scolding and praising doesn't do anything. He just seats them whenever he feels like. I am so disappointed bc I really want to own family run business but as a player, I was extremely limited what I can do help run the business. Even with control any sim mod, when took control of the host, I still couldn't seat people. I eventually sold the restaurant because I wasn't making any money due to costumers leaving.

When you go to hire sims there are three tabs/buttons in the interface where you switch between hiring chefs, waiters and hosts. So look for those little buttons and you should be able to swap to hiring the other types of workers. I hope that helped!

I would look at investing in perks that directly reduce costs such as the ingredient discounts. I would also try and sell some more expensive foods as they'll make more profit per customer. Also make sure you have enough tables to seat everyone, and consider getting the fast eaters perk if you have people waiting.

Dine Out is a pretty buggy pack... I would try restarting. Make sure you have the chef station and the right objects on the lot. After if it's still not working I would fire and rehire (I know that would suck) and if it's still not working try a different restaurant lot.

Kind of. you can make a retail store that sells food but it's very different from running a restaurant. so like yes and no lol. running a retail store people will buy dishes but they won't dine.

That is so strange and it sounds a bit like a bug. Something you could try is the 1200 simoleon trash can.. it kind of completely gets rid of rubbish so you don't even have to bring it to the bigger bin. I think you would be able to drag dishes into it to get rid of them as a workaround. I would also try deleting and re buying the objects and restarting your game.
