Chínos are my new Casual Friday dress style to wear with a well cut sports coat, instead of the usual blazer and light grey Woolen cuffless trousers. During the last year the quality and design of chinos available in Melbourne Australia has radically changed, with the leading independent suppliers of casual clothes lifting their game. I also realised that for the first time in the past 50 years, that I don't have a pair of oxblood shoes. So shoe shopping is now at the top of my post-COVID To Do List. A very interesting presentation from A to Z. Phil.

I always have a pair of cordovan less formal dress shoes, usually wing-tips, and these are what I usually take when traveling. Size 17 take up a LOT of room and they get HEAVY! Regrading pant, maybe it is because i'm in my 60s, I don't even own jeans. I go with dockers rather than chinos. At my size, the heavier material is the better option. G, you never fail to deliver. You ARE the man.

I cant tell you how much you have inspired me and helped me get a bit of style. I turn 50 in a couple months. I havent owned a suit since I was a kid. I do Business Development for my company and I never looked the part....Until now! I just bought my first first blazer. I have purchased many of the shoes you suggested, nice pants, sweaters, nice watch, etc. I just need some nice button up fitted shirts and a full suit now. I have also learned to shop Nordstrom Rack and Dillards Clearance, ASOS, Express, etc. I have never gone to any of those places before. I have also lost about 20 pounds since Covid hit, so I feel much better. Thank you Sir for you knowledge and wisdom!

Oxblood Chelsea Boots... bought my first 2 pairs of chelsea boots last fall, got a black pair and a color close to Oxblood but not exactly, I'd have to look it up for exact name. Very versatile. I just started dressing up in the last couple of years. My fiance has encouraged it. I was into watches and cologne so now I'm putting it altogether and feel so much more confident. I really enjoy your channel. I have 2 suits. I don't have an office job so it's not necessary for me to have so many... but I love nice shoes and boots. May have to find a tailor here in brooklyn or nyc to tailor my polo shirts. I always find them to be a little bit baggy.

I find #12 (no matching tie & square) to be a flexible style "rule". Akin to not wearing black and brown or not mixing metals. It's a general rule of thumb for 'safe' outfit construction but it can be bent, especially when considering in the patterns in the outfit. For example, (assuming the colors compliment) while wearing a pinstripe suit with a gingham shirt, a matching set, solid colored tie/square can ground the look.

The one thing I hate about my style when I was in Middle school is that I wore an all-brown outfit. It matches my skin and I wore it to school. Idk why but after that, I never match colors ever again. I also wore a lot of sweater pants through elementary to high school and haven't really branched out to any other type of pants because I like how comfortable the sweatpants are. But now I'm a Junior in college. 21 years old. I still wear sweatpants but not as much as I did. I wear mostly chinos from amazon. Yeah, I know but they're actually great quality chinos for a great price. I pretty much bought all of the colors. I still need to change my style but I'm getting there. Love your videos and Salute.
