There are some good tips here, some of which I already do. The 'keeping up with the Jones's" is well and truly not my thing. When I was a kid there was a TV ad (I forget what it was trying to sell) and the ad ended with the lady saying to the sales assistant "if it's not good enough for Mrs Jones it's not good enough for me". Advertising has so much to answer for!

Thank you so much Ella! I'm really fussy about sponsorships and I do get the very occasional offer but I don't like to advertise anything I don't like the look of myself. Maybe in 2025 I will partner up with some like-minded brands!

Period pants don't work for me at all, and neither does the cup. Pants leak constantly and I've tried out quite a few brands. They were so very messy 🙈 As for the cup it just felt very unnatural, like I've had a foreign object in my body. I was very hopeful about it so it was a huge disappointment 😩

I am trying to teach my children about fast fashion and recognising when they are being marketed to. I also had this one dude trying to tell me that if I didn't get a credit card I would have a rubbish credit score and would never be able to get into debt - I told him that's fine by me!
