You can do a better job at typing comments. Should save your comment for someone to proofread before posting. Instead of watching KZbin you should pick up a book. Ones without pictures so you don’t get the urge to color in it.

Maybe not so far fetched an idea - maybe they could do that, render the results and make renewable diesel from the fats ? When I was a kid growing up in SE Idaho we had diseased jack rabbit infestations - you could see entire fields move like a wave... just after I moved to a city about 40 miles away, they had a huge round up that was coordinated - they set miles of snow fence (wooden slats with wire runs perpendicular to them) so as to create a huge funnel... dug a big ditch and on a concerted gathering - drove them all down that funnel and into the pit where they had some gas to kill them - I think it was gasoline engine exhaust or diesel. Not sure if they incinerated them or just buried the dead. 10's of thousands in one action. They ran in cycles like that - they'd eat underneath hay stacks and spoil it so the cattle etc wouldn't eat it. Huge $$ losses.

Agricultural pest Feral pigs cause significant problems for Australian farmers and primary producers because they: Compete with livestock for pasture and access to water. Graze grasses and ground covers Damage fruit (such as banana's) and vegetable crops Damage grain crops, nuts and sugar cane Prey on newborn lambs and scavenge around livestock. Foul water sources, bore drains and irrigation infrastructure. Cause soil erosion by digging and ripping up soil which can reduce the productive capacity of farmland. Promote the colonisation and spread of agricultural weeds in farmland. Damage fences and farm infrastructure. Carry diseases of livestock and a human health risk (eg Leptospirosis). Present a serious risk of exotic diseases (such as Foot-and-Mouth Disease) if introduced to Australia. Threaten food security for Australians. Require ongoing expenditure through control and addressing the problems they cause (eg. fence repair)

Why are you not using full auto machine guns on those bigger sounders? I mean, two guns, two sectors. Starting fire at each edge of the sector left/right, and lastly joining fire in the middle where sectors meet/centre of the sounder.
@NightHuntingTV
@NightHuntingTV 5 жыл бұрын
I agree. Need someone to fund that project. But we had cows in the distance in that first group so we tried to stay clear of them. I was a little more selective with my shots. My buddy went full semi auto. And did a mag change.
@lawrencewright2816
@lawrencewright2816 5 жыл бұрын
Night Hunting TV I have never done this, so I cannot comment on the difficulties you face, but it looks to me like you need automatic weapons with a faster rate of fire. I hope good use is made of the meat, although maybe there’s just too much? Is the meat good?
@NightHuntingTV
@NightHuntingTV 5 жыл бұрын
The faster rate of fire is actually not a good thing. Waste a lot of ammo. A 3 round burst would be nice though. Way to much meat to be able to use it all. We use all we can though.
@lawrencewright2816
@lawrencewright2816 5 жыл бұрын
Night Hunting TV Strikes me that the extra ammo is less expensive than your time? Maybe I am wrong. Wouldn’t farmers be more interested in a quicker and more efficient culling?
@NightHuntingTV
@NightHuntingTV 5 жыл бұрын
Unless the gun shooting full auto is mounted to something sturdy I’m not sure one can shoot it accurately. And it would have to be belt fed to really do any good. A 30 rd mag can be emptied in a couple seconds. Current cost on 6.8 ammo is about 0.66 cents a round. The farmer would definitely like as many knocked over as possible. We don’t charge the farmers anything either.

With such a target-rich environment, you need several 40-rd. mags taped back to back and just throw as much lead downrange as possible in the shortest amount of time available! Aimed shots at running targets at that range is strictly by guess and by golly! The more rounds you can pitch at them the better your odds.

An 8' steel Lance would be ideal,stabbed into throat or through the mouth into the brain. Shooting is wasting money. Back in 1400's the 'knights' had extra long swords with two tusks about 6" back from the tip used for killing wild boar. The sword was almost 6' tall and the blade was 5" of that. Only the tip & tusks were sharpened, and the tusks stopped the boar from getting too close. It was common for a knight or squire to be run-over by a charging boar, often they were trampled to death before the pig was killed. Even with crossbows and bows, killing boar was dangerous

After the first shot "clean kill" flies out the window. I notice the more subsequent shots taken the fewer 1st shot kills are landed. turns into a spray and pray. I bet there's a bunch down that way who want that pest status to stay on. Has there been many mishaps? Good gun discipline?

Zero mishaps with our group. Gun discipline is very important. constantly communicating with one another.

I noticed they tend to run left or right. Sometimes right at you.. Sometimes away from the shooting, but usually L or R

Are you aiming for the females first? I hear multiple gun shots. Since the pigs get her after the first shot, are you both shooting at the same time, I mean for the initial first shot.
@NightHuntingTV
@NightHuntingTV 5 жыл бұрын
We generally aim for the dominate hogs first. They tell the rest of the sounder what to do. So we each pick a hog and time our first shot. After that it’s a all up in the air.

I can only imagine how much damage a giant herd like that would do. Lord help the person or dog or other animal that gets attacked by one of these. Worse than hyenas.

Good one, some of those shots were not instant clean kills. Not by any means a bad thing on those targets. In fact some shooting was a little too good.

MUST READ 😁 This was sum BOB LEE SWAGGER type shooting👍💪 He hit 3 continuous targets moving to his left at 3 different distances/speeds/trajectories. That's like a QB(right handed) rolling out left and hitting his WR on the move in stride on the money, while throwing across his body. Times 3 Great shooting!💪

Hogs are a little easier to hit with the mass of their body. Use the sides of the cross hairs to hold a line even with the body of the animal and lead. Sounds easy but when adrenalines rushing and they are scattering it’s hard to get everything to line up.

Seeing the opening shots of this story makes me think of the stories of the Old West, about herds of buffalo stretching as far as the eye could see. The only difference being ofc is that THIS herd is a plague similar to locusts, whereas buffalo were seen as a food/materials source (no matter what anyone might think about the fate of the buffalo). Unfortunately, it's not as easy to wipe out this herd as it was with the buffalo

You are a better shot when the hogs are running. At time .52 you pull off a very clean kill shot.

@NightHuntingTV
@NightHuntingTV 4 жыл бұрын
If a local asks me I will take care of them. However it’s illegal to donate to a food bank like for homeless or anything else bc they carry so many diseases. So unfortunately a lot goes to waste. And there is a never ending supply of them.
