Always right on time bro thank you , as i just bought new sprockets an tires from STG . I’ll be pickin up a Speedo healer this week from ya guys. 1 question when you use an hit the top speed button it displays it where? Btw , Christian there at STG is a great employee his customer service skills are second to none. I worked high end retail in Las Vegas for 15 years because my customer service skills are second to none lol. Christian is very good at his job an that’s a huge plus because not everyone is good at their job! Just thought you should know 👊🏼

I do not know this off the top and would suggest giving it a shot to see if it works. Worst case you need to install it but I would expect you to be good to go. - Van

Going down 1 tooth in the rear will result in a little higher top speed. On track it also moves the shift points around a bit which can be beneficial on certain tracks. For street riders I also find this makes 1st gear last a little longer. - Van

Hi STG, I'm want to enquire, what's the part no for the harness used in the video? I want to get a speedohealer v4 for my MT 03 2019 but the harness part no is SHU01 which requires you to cut and splice. I'd prefer if it was plug and play as seen in this video. Please help.

Hey mate, fantastic vid's especially your R1 vid's. My question is, I have a 2016 Yamaha R1M and the wiring harness isn't a plug and play set up, four bare wire's that need to be spliced into the R1M's original wiring. I know how to connect the negative and positive but not sure about wiring the other two. Just asking because you might know but no problem if you ain't sure. Great vid Brian ! I'm going 1 tooth up on front sprocket to get better use of 1st Gear (street) . I have some extra ponies mod already done ;) . Would you know where the speed/ ODO sensor is on a Kawa Z900RS Cafe 2018 ? I looked up a Speedohealer kit so I presume it is on the top of the engine too ? Thanks!

I would do an OEM parts search for the speed sensor to find the location. I do not know where the sensor is located on this model. - Van

IMO installing a traction control unit on this bike is not needed. While it is surely possible to high side yourself on this bike you would have to really work at it. Additionally TC would only serve to slow the bike in the end. Take the time to dial the bike and your throttle control in is best practice. - Brian Van

I have a woolich racing ecu flash on my bike. Would I still need this if I wanted to correct my speedo or can I do it on the ECU itself? Thanks!

Not familiar with Woolich flash service which will make this hard to answer 100% correctly. With the ecu flash that would depend on whether or not the flash has the ability to influence that in the ecu. This question would be one to ask the flash providers IMO. I spoke with HealTech about this scenario today and they made a good point which was if you did flash and then modified the gearing or tire size after the flash (still assuming that it can be adjusted when the flash is done) would you want to have it flashed again? With the HealTech installed you could adjust as many times as you like at no charge with minimal investment in effort and time. - Brian Van

when you meant change tire sets did you mean that 150/60 instead of the stock 140/70 because I didn't change size I changed brand not sure if that will throw it off I have stock sprockets I had a crash and had to get a replacement bike so I still have factory stock

I have the 2017 R3 abs model, if I want to disable permanently the abs (removing the fuse and changing to a 5” rim for a bigger tire) I wouldn’t get the odometer reading. What are my choices to keep the odometer working after these modifications?

I would not recommend installing the larger wheel. The bike does not have enough power to use a bigger tire. As for the speed it should still work with the ABS pump fuse pulled. You will need to test this to verify. - Van

Yes, the R3 with ABS comes with rubber brake lines and will perform much better with stainless steel lines on it for sure. - Van

No you do not need a healer on the ABS R3 because it will use the wheel speed sensors to calculate speed. If you installed different sized tires this would cause the speedo read incorrectly which you could fix with the healer if you wanted to. - Van

I do not believe this is adjustable with an ECU flash (I will dig into this to get a better answer). Remember if you bike uses wheel speed sensors (many new bike with ABS do) changing the gearing does not interfere with the speedo reading. Changing the tire size will be the only thing to affect the accuracy of the speedo. - Van

Going to put this on my bike. Noticed you put a 150 rear tire on. That opens up a ton of tire options. How do you like it with that tire? What are you using for a front tire?

We ran a 120/70 front with a 150/60 rear (Michelin Power RS Tires) on the track for a couple years. For this year we have switched to the 110/70 front with a 140/70 rear (Michelin Power Cup EVO Tires). With the way the bikes are handling now and the times we are running on them I would recommend this combo. The bike steers super fast, is stable and the grip is excellent at all lean angles. - Van

The 17 and up R6 should all be reading the speed from the wheel speed sensor. That said the only time you will need to do anything is if you change the size of the rear tire. - Van
