Whipped soap needs to be cured, but the term is rot. It'll rot for 4 weeks.

Loving your series, I do have a question on this. Since curing is all about water evaporation and those crystal formations making for a hard soap, if you were to control the curing environment, say keep it cool, well ventilated and also add in a dehumidifier to draw out moisture, could the bar cure faster? I know longer is better, as you said, but scientifically, could it cure faster?

Those are all ideal ways to cure soap. It's best to have a controlled environment. You can get a bar harder faster, but it's not cured faster.

Hi, I have a question, so even if you do hot process or oven process you still have to cure your soap for 6-8 weeks?

Floral Exuberance Florist Hot Process cure time is usually 4-6 weeks like regular cp, depends on how much water you add.

How do you know if your soap has gelled?
@TinaMoenck
@TinaMoenck 5 жыл бұрын
It'll look like vaseline when it's in gel phase. Soaps that have gelled are darker, and cure much faster.

Which method needs more curing time HP or CP?
@khione8044
@khione8044 3 жыл бұрын
@Lilyofthevalley@7 Both CP and HP require the same cure time. Many people teach that HP cures faster but that is a common misunderstanding and not true.

Can a metal rack be used?
@TinaMoenck
@TinaMoenck 6 жыл бұрын
Yes, as long as it's not aluminum. If you aren't sure you can cover the rack with parchment paper, but just be sure to rotate the soaps so they cure evenly.
