@@DrTomBiernacki I tell you what, one day my mother started having some back pain Luckly she lived right there at UMC under further advanced care she had arty disease I can't quit remember the procedure they were doing but there had never been a survivor and my mother survived the procedure Doctors from all around came, they were going to do a lifetime diary on her and put this in the medical books, down to her lifetime diet, everyday activity's ECT , well she only made it a year, there were some other issues we won't mention. Long story cut short, talking to these world heart specialists do you know what they all said to do to lower blood pressure and cholesterol ects... this is crazy but it works they all said this could be hereditary you will want to make sure to try and take care of yourself one of the best things you can do is walk around all day with a bag of plain cheerios and eat snack on them all day and night. have a health dinner and right back to your snack. less than 90 days most issue have the opportunity to reverse themselves. notice how I worded that I don't want anyone come back saying it didn't work. When you got 5 of supposed to be some of the best heart surgeons telling you to do this it's got to have a positive effect.

Since a preeclampsia with my first baby when I was 20 years old I took HP medications to maintain it below 140/90. However, now at 64, I have found how to reduce my HP to 120/80 without medication. I take in the morning a tea with spices: tumeric, black paper, ginger, chai tea, cardamom, cloves and cinnamon. Plus supplements: magnesium, potassium, vit B and D, omega 3 and olive leave extract. I walk and don't eat processed food. I could have a huge spike of HP if I have a bite of any food with MSG. I strictly measure my BP twice per day and I believe that for me this is the miracle of my life.

My BP was high. First, I did away with caffeine. Then I started taking magnesium with taurine. Also, I was anemic and started taking iron. Before the caffeine withdrawal, my BP was 161/87 during the day, as a 52 YO male. After the caffeine withdrawal, and taking the supplements, my BP in the morning was 118/74 on average and during the day it averaged 135/76. My dosages are (1) iron tablet per week with a glass of apple juice not from concentrate, (3) grams of taurine per day, with each meal, and I take 250mg of magnesium per day at night. I feel better and sleep better.

Been taking raw garlic and garlic supplements for over 40 years now. As an Italian, it's always been an ingredient in my food, and later taken in higher doses for health. I really don't get colds or the flu anymore. One more HUGE benefit of taking big doses of garlic, is that bugs don't seem to like the way your blood tastes .... even in a place like Florida, where the state bird is the mosquito.

Tastes really good and seems to have the same effect on my body's inflammation and pain as does a typical dose of ibuprofen. Green tea has always been a part of my diet and routine. I had read that beets contain nitric tested/nitric oxide. My local discount grocery store had restaurant-sized cans of 14:59 15:02 pickled beets. This had sodium added. But I had a generous portion of pickled beets in a large green salad with the juice as dressing regularly until the beets were gone. I noticed my systolic dropped at least 20 points. I take meds.

If you do a garden raise some beets. If you have land, have a root cellar and have beets over long space of time. Can beets be sliced and then dried? Certainly, industry sells beet powders so other than the oxalate issue beets look pretty good.

My husband and I take a magnesium caplet and a 1/2 pill of potassium in the AM. Along with this I always have cooked fresh beets on hand and we eat the beet greens and stems. What we found is marvelous to control HBP is drinking and eating red grapefruit and/or its juice. This lowered my high cholesterol too. We also switched out our regular table salt with Morton’s LITE Salt, which is potassium/chloride vs. sodium/chloride (regular table salt) and the LITE salt is also iodized. I do not cook with salt, so we only salt at the table and it isn’t very much. We are also low-fat/oil vegan. This helped me to lose 80 lbs. and when I got down half way from 200 lbs. I began walking and generally will walk up to 5-6 miles per day, weather permitting. My husband if off his BP meds. But even so, we both check our BP daily, mine was just now 114/54. And we ate Chinese food for lunch at a restaurant. We do supplement with Vitamin D3 and B12. We both take a multiple, and Turmeric. I have trouble with a Morton’s Neuroma which I can keep the inflammation down on that with taking 2 capsule 4 x’s a day. I take a GABA and it helps keep me calm and I sleep better. I also take as recommended by Dr. Neal Barnard on YT, the mature boiled up from dry soybeans. Found them on the internet. Soak them overnight and cook them in my Instant Pot, 40 minutes. Then I take 1/4 Cup instead of his recommended 1/2 Cup as I am at a lower weight and the recommended was too much for me, I am just 5’3. The soybeans help stop the hot flashes but I also take Estroven. Soy has fat in it and if I take the whole serving, I begin to gain weight. Veganism on its own has many benefits too. Those who eat this way, live longer and are free of diseases more than any other groups of people. We can still make our food taste good and killing animals is then not necessary and I really do love animals.

My BP is doing pretty good lately, but hard to say what does it, the heat wave (over 100 degrees where I am) or the supplements? I have been trying various things throughout the years, but the last year it finally is coming down, and most lately significantly - L-arginine/l-citruline, Omega 3, raw garlic, beet, high dose B vitamins, C0Q10, L-lysine, Vit. C, Multi-vitamin, K2, D-Ribose, Taurine, fresh curcumin in tea, and tea made of fresh herbs - lemon grass, tulsi (holy) basil, mint, and rosemary. In my diet lots of fruit and daily greens with occasional moringa. Would appreciate more research on lemon grass. We have plenty of it in our yard, and it was only recently that I realized that it might have an effect on BP.

Doctor - can you express your opinion on the following topic: after eating red beets urine shouldn’t be red; if so - means leaky guts. Thank you.
@DrTomBiernacki11 ай бұрын
Beets can make your pee red due to a pigment they contain called betalain. Not everyone experiences this, as it depends on individual differences in metabolism and the digestive process. Betalain is not always fully broken down in some people's bodies, leading to the excretion of the pigment in urine, which can change its color. This phenomenon, known as beeturia, is generally harmless and more of a curious reaction than a health concern. 😊🙏❤️

A nice tea but I could not tell the difference on the BP front short term (weeks) but I a blueberry eater. I say very low carb and get fat adapted and do some mild fasting, take a good magnesium supplement ( not as an oxide or even a citrate), I like the glycinate form but there are other good ones. Also consider dropping all refined vegetable oils and be ruthless, these are as evil as a vegan diet or high fructose corn syrup. Next, as much ubiquinone as you can afford and I am NOT a fan of ubiquinol by the way. If you aren't playing roulette with the conventional primary care providers prescription drug, a high dose diet of potassium is very useful. Note: if you control your sugar levels and your insulin levels, you will need to add sodium chloride, IMO and yes YMMV. When I say low carb, I mean 30 grams or less per day until you get the BP down and after that you may be able to be a bit more lacks at 100 grams per day. This all depends on a host of factors, do you smoke, do you work a physical demanding job, that diet of yours, the damage already done, your age, stress level, number of disease state and whether you took the fu¢king Co¥id innoculations repeatedly.

I wouldn't stress play in that. Since counting and breathing slowly on those herbs, especially in powder form, the main ingredient leaves quickly. You never know when it was harvested and how good the seal is. And even in ideal condition, it is only two years. So, does it set in storage for a year before you buy it? Not to mention, many Herbs in pill form are nonsense. Making their value worth?

@@DrTomBiernacki ok. Would like if you could respond my question if possible. Thanks!

Ok I too have the same issue, my first reading is on higher side, then 2nd and 3rd get lower. I recently met my cardiac doctor and showed my 3 readings (interval of 3 minutes), he told me first reading you are anxious, your body relaxes a little during 2nd 3rd which are more true readings. So i can say, i can relate to your question. I take average of 3. What seems to be working for me is SLEEP, SLEEP and SLEEP. You sleep well and then take your BP.. its a lot better., we are constantly in digital world, which spikes our cortisol and other stress hormones, these do a lot of things in your body. Once you reduce stress hormones by good lifestyle & food habits, things improve.. remember supplements just gives the last push to get across the line.. like when you are lifting weights and your gym partner just gives that little hand to get you through...so are supplements. So the biggest change you will see is from sleep, exercise, reduce digital overload, eat right and take supplements from kitchen.. be in the moment and don't thoughts pull you. U will be fine.

What keeps this old man's blood pressure in check is a low carb diet, magnesium glycinate, a very generous dose of CoQ-10 as ubiquinone (not ubiquinol), and I use many othet supplements which may or may not help. Also, I am a huge proponent of high dose vitamin D-3 with menaquinone. Note: I am adding back trimethylglycine into my supplement regimem.

Yes look up Kyolic aged garlic there are various kinds . I use the cardiovascular one original. It works and I do not take the recommended 4 capsules 2x a day with meals. I most often take 2 a day. Also celery organic a few stalks in blender with a water , blend then drain the pulp and drink the liquid it works to lower blood pressure.

Is it down to low vitamin D, or are people with low levels just people who stay indoors? Surely the benefit would primarily be from an outdoor lifestyle with exercise, fresh air and sunshine. Vit D levels would simply reflect the lifestyle.
@man_at_the_end_of_time5 ай бұрын
Persistent organic pollutants lower 25 (OH) vitamin D3 levels. And life patterns that avoid UV-b exposure also are an issue as are public health recommendations the suggest only tiny doses of the D3.

My naturalpathic cardiogist recommends L aggerine and citruline, I take 10,000 mgs 3 times per day. For a total of 30,000 mgs per day. His formula is called Cardio for Life and has everything needed. This will clean out your arteries and make then flexable. Excerise can help but after the age of 60, your body no longer make Nitric Oxide so you must supplement.
