My husband gave me a solo retreat to the beach, and he took over at home with our four little ones. Dad/husband of the year! The time to pray, read the Bible, journal and be still was such a gift and so filling for my heart, allowing me to refill with the Lord to pour out for them. Even if you can’t get away, even a walk alone without headphones is so refreshing. Great video!

Avoid headphones while outside walking, or out in public, staying alert for safety reasons.

Jan. and Sept. I do a clothes decluttering of anything not worn in former season, donate to several group homes or missions thrift shops. Several months ago did a reset to prevent weight gain by cutting carbs way down. This is modified Keto plan. Cutting desserts and bread, using thin wraps for sandwiches instead. I suggest use one credit card issued by your local bank and ditch the store cards because they charge more interest. With cost of living, few can donate to give money, but can give time instead.

This was a really good reminder of those 15 things. I especially “grasped” the 30 day declutter challenge, even if I stretch it out over several months!

I think a good challenge is to not be tempted to buy in the New Year's sales unless it's an item replacing one that has seen better days. I had a list of things I'd like, but I really put the brakes on. I reorganised and cleaned my linen and clothes closets. ❤❤

I recently got rid of extra older towels (2 bath towels for each person only) and extra unused sheets. Donated animal shelter and teen group home.

Happy new year! last year, i implemented a strict budgeting strategy to track expenses and set clear limits, while also focusing on a smart investment approach. In just six months, my investments grew by over $70k boosting my savings and financial confidence. This combined strategy has set me on track to achieve my long-term financial goals, and i'm hoping to get to a million plus this 2025, so help me God
@Nancy-1wКүн бұрын
that’s incredible! What’s the secret behind this strategy? How did you manage to save up so much so quickly?
@Florencewalter-o4sКүн бұрын
Working with Lorrie Greta Hillard , a financial advisor, was a game changer. She helped me refine my savings strategy, including retirement planning, and provided expert guidance on investments and budgeting to maximize my savings.

Happy new year Ashlynne! Last January I did the 30 day declutter challenge and it was so effective that I don’t think I can do it again this year! There isn’t enough to declutter😅 2025 is off to a great start because next week I have my first psychiatrist appointment. My anxiety disorder has gone undiagnosed for 25 years and my therapist actually thinks there might be more that needs diagnosing to help me live a better life as myself. It’s a bit nerve wracking but I can’t wait for this extra help and support, like a new lease on life. Given the price of psychiatrist appointments, January will be a low-spend month!💸

Each year I do start off with the 30-day minimalism game (I love it) and I also start reading the bible from start to finish. I have never been able to finish it yet but each year I get further ahead so I think that is a pro for me. This year, I want to get back into yoga because since having my 2 kids (youngest is 6 months), I have done nothing consistently. My word for the year is FORGIVENESS, so that I am kinder to myself :)

Happy New Year. I didn't do this exactly but we moved from a condo to a townhouse. Yes the townhouse has more space but in packing up items I realize there were a lot of items I didn't need. Clothes, shoes, kitchen items, etc etc etc. We purged more than I thought we could along with furniture. And it felt awesome. Now our brand new townhouse that we moved into on October 29th. Today is January 1st 2025. I feel that each room is organized. The kitchen is organized every nook and cranny. It felt wonderful.❤

Please stop Promoting Better Help. Don’t KZbinrs remember the unethical controversy they were in recently And ongoing ?

If it's done through a computer it can be hacked so that a big NO for me. If I can't sit and talk physically face to face I'm not doing it. I cringe every time they're promoted which is a lot.

@@meowmix60 I am surprised she caved to this. She is smart enough to know this is not a good business to promote. This world seems all about money even when it compromises responsibility. Please Google to find out the truth about Better help. They are not HIPPA compliant and it has been proven that they sale your information to 3rd party vendors for advertising among other things. That is only one of many issues reported. She should have vetted this company before taking their money and making the long speech for them.

@@kristinhumph I lose all respect and confidence when a KZbinr pulls this. I realize this is their job but their creditability goes down the drain with this compromise for money. All you have to do is Google to see how dreadful better health is. I hope that people will use diligence and investigate before they sign on for "therapy".

I connected with you on a lot of these! My word of the year is SERVE. Becoming a new mom in 2024 has shown me how much I want to grow in serving my home and family and really turn it into a Christ-centered home (not that it wasn’t great before, but I see things so differently as a mom now). I’m starting with a pantry challenge that’s pretty much a use-it-up challenge and doing a low-buy year. I’m really excited about it! Thank you for the ideas, Ashlynne!
