I just want to say, I've discovered your channel this morning and I've been binge watching so many of your videos! I'm an Italian guy and my Japanese boyfriend has been feeling very homesick lately, so I've been wanting to try and cook something Japanese for him as a surprise. Definetely gonna try these out ❤️

I am so impressed with how perfectly you peeled the ramen egg! I always struggle peeling mine! I just wanted to say that I have now cooked a whole bunch of your recipes over the past few months and *every* single one that I've tried has been loved by my kids and I! I can't wait to try even more! It also feels so good knowing that my children are eating healthy, nutritious dinners, thanks to your recipes! You might not see this comment; but I have an odd video request! I have a small kitchen (by American standards) and I'm always looking at how others organize their food and kitchen tools. I would love to see a video on how you organize your kitchen to make the most of your space and still be as efficient as possible! Keep up the amazing work as always! ❤ Amber Lee

My mother taught me to put some vinegar in the boiling water for eggs to make peeling easier. I have not noticed vinegar making the egg taste different, but the fumes of boiling vinegar water and eggs are quite strong. Also, I have found fresher eggs peel more easily.

I often eat soup in the morning, a practice uncommon in the US. After I began eating soup in the morning I found that I wanted less tea, felt better after eating and was more able to eat healthfully the rest of the day. Now, I'm trying to add pickle to my morning meal. I have lost my taste for the sweet breakfast so common in the US. Thanks for posting a variety of breakfast dishes from Japan. Most of your recipes have been easy for me to adapt to plant-based.

Just found your channel and I love it. I just came home from Japan after 5 weeks. I always had problem with breakfast, I felt heavy and sleepy. But when I tried Japanese style breakfast I felt amazing, energised. I will definitely try eating then at home as well. So thank you for your recipes. ❤

Dear Miwa, thank you so much for your channel. I'm often inspired by your recipes; I discover new flavors. I also have a question for you. I see you store cooked rice a lot. I've come across information that it should be eaten shortly after preparation, because some dangerous bacteria multiply in it very quickly. What do you think about? I certainly don't know everything because I come from a country where rice is not grown. Best! Ania

I saw a video today of a dietist talking about it , she says it's not reheating rice that creates bacteria but how it is stored after cooking it the first time, so then her advice was to put it away as soon as it cools down and to try freeze it 😊 Hope this helps!

I love Yuzu, but it's very hard to acquire it here in Australia. I usually can only get the bottled juice. Is there any substitute you would recommend? Those pickles look so tasty!

I take the nattokinase capsules. Unfortunately, the ready-made natto that you can buy in Germany has too many additives. Perhaps I should make it myself. Kind regards❤❤

Hii! I have a question- are these salmon flakes dried? That I can get them in my local Japanese grocery store or is this like salmon from a can? Or just pre cooked salmon? Thank you so much for these videos!

They are real salmon meat that is flaked, not dried. You could use dried salmon flakes as well though if that is what you like.
