IF YOU WANT AN HONEST ASSESSMENT LOOK HERE: Khalil has obviously developed since going to Thailand. What I see is him doing more to setup his KO blows. The problem he’s gonna have with Alex is reach. He’s has to bring intelligent pressure and not try to brawl his way inside with Alex or he’s going to sleep. Alex has great footwork and lateral movement. He won’t sit in one place. With Khalil being the shorter of the two he’s gonna have to use his legs kicks intelligently to controls Alex’s lateral movement and YOU HAVE TO HAVE A SERIOUS JAB to even hang with Alex. If he doesn’t have that on fight night, he fooked.

In my mind Khalil was more dominant as his ferocity and KO's are very memorable. However, after seeing this video, I feel he needed another win against a top 5 guy before getting this title shot. Undoubtedly, we are in store for an exciting and welcome matchup, though not necessarily deserved. Ankalaev had his chance against Jan to win the title and put the audience to sleep instead of his opponent, so I am not mad about Khalil getting the chance at gold in his stead.
