All of my problems started with a cyst in my knee 5 years ago. It was downhill after that. Thankfully, I found out what was truly causing my sickness and changed my total lifestyle. I'm no longer pre-diabetic, insulin resistant, have severe liver disease or have chronic inflammation. I thank God every day for doctors like you. You are truly a blessing!

@@SugarMDs -- Thank you for doing these videos. And, yes I am learning from them. I was experiencing neuropathy in both my legs and feet. After watching one of your videos advising to eat some non-processed almond nuts I began to do so. In just one day after eating 8 almond nuts my neuropathy in both legs is complely gone. I still just a little bit in both feet but is is very little. I am still in complete shock over the results. Needless to say I am sold as I am paying very close attention to the information you are providing. Again, thanks for making this information available to the public.

Thanks for that, very informative. I have many of those symptoms and was diagnosed as diabetic last April. I also have haemochromatosis which also has a lot of the same symptoms, at least they think I have. Are there ways to figure out for definite if my joint pains are from haemochromatosis or from diabetes, or just from getting old?

Hello Doctor. I was wondering if I could ask just 1 question. Recently, you mentioned Niacin as not such a good idea for diabetics. Along with Super R-Lipoic Acid, I also take a "men's over 40 one a day" vitamin, and it says on the label it contains 20 mg NE, which is 125% of a daily value. Is this safe, or should I omit it from my supplements? I watch all of your content, and have learned a lot from you. Thank you in advance for any information.

20 mg niacin isn’t much. It is ok. Pharmaceutical dose is not good for diabetes.

To manage insulin resistance: Diet: Focus on low-glycemic foods, avoid sugar and refined carbs. Exercise: Regular cardio and strength training. Weight: Lose excess weight, even small amounts help. Sleep/Stress: Get 7-9 hours of sleep and manage stress. Doctor: Consult for tests, medications, or supplements. Take small steps daily and seek medical guidance!

I wish there was a way to combat the stinging sensation with burning in my feet. I am losing sensation in my toes. I am on gabapentin. Please let me know what you would prescribe for these maladys.
@sharonholmes6083 Жыл бұрын
John Alderman, I know what you are dealing with, because I had this problem too. The solution is to eat a low carb diet. I gradually reduced my favorite foods with low carb versions over many months. The burning sensation gradually went away, but it took over a year's time for my left leg and foot to heal. I enjoy eating and so I had to find low carb foods to satisfy my appetite. Also, I am now on a ketovore/carnivore diet which really helps! The meat, eggs, butter, cheese along with low carb greens is the ticket to resolve the burning sensation.

Is low estrogen, or estrogen imbalance also related to insulin resistance?
@franny5295 Жыл бұрын
That's related to PCOS which comes from insulin resistance. The high insulin prevent testosterone being converted to estrogen which messes with ovulation.

Does it mean that people naturally become insulin resistant as they get old because especially for men, they put on much weight in the mid section. Well for women we may argue that it's due to pregnancy but you catch my driving.....

@jaescuore7049Ай бұрын
I mean the video title is clearly listed. Insulin resistance can have long term health risks, can lead you to become prediabetic and finally diabetic. Diabetes is a disease that gradually reduces the overall body's immunity and ability to fight diseases. It is an immunosuppressive state. Can lead to tons of health problems in the long run like cataract, kidney problems, stroke, heart attacks and all types of vascular diseases. So if you do have proof that you are insulin resistant better to get it under control now.
